Teacher's union begins plans to promote homosexual marriage in public schools
The National Education Association is set to endorse homosexual marriage at their convention coming up in Orlando June 29 through July 6.
The new NEA proposal essentially says schools should support and actively promote homosexual marriage and other forms of marriage (two men and one woman, three women, two women and three men, etc.) in their local schools.
The new proposal, expected to pass overwhelmingly, is found under the B-8 Diversity paragraph:
The Association... believes in the importance of observances, programs and curricula that accurately portray and recognize the roles, contributions, cultures, and history of these diverse groups and individuals.
The Association believes that legal rights and responsibilities with regard to medical decisions, taxes, inheritance, adoption, legal immigration, domestic partnerships, and civil unions and/or marriage belong to all these diverse groups and individuals.
Translated, that means the NEA will promote homosexual marriage in every avenue they have available, including textbooks, to all children at all age levels and without the permission or knowledge of parents. Their plans will include every public school in America.

how about three men and a GOAT! lol
My sister and her husband never allowed their children (now 17 and 15) to attend public school, for just this sort of reason. I wish I could convince my brother to pull his kids out before they're propagandized.
No surprise...
Institutionalized Religous Intolerance and Deviant Lifestyles are what this group advocate...and sadly, it's an association of public school teachers.
I'd just like for eveyone here at FR to know that there are thousands and thousands of public school teachers who do not belong to NEA and never have, and who do not support anything that NEA stands for. That includes me.
[Of course they do - but, that has nothing to do with same-sex "marriage".]
I'm afraid it does - it seems they are fully promoting the concept of "same sex marriage".
I wish the Southern Baptists would have gone ahead and staged a huge pull-out of their people from the public schools last week. The NEA has always disgusted me.

Great, that is comforting. Do you know how many teachers are members of the National Teachers Association? I understand that they are a particularly strong subversive organization, oh I mean, lobby. From my vantage point, the ACLU and the NEA have a lot in common.
What is being done to forcibly disband this group?
Well why aren't you letting NEA feel the weight of your opposition?
Evil prevails when good men do nothing.
Good for you, CL. There are also many who DO belong and who have no idea what their union supports. They just blindly pay the dues in order to get their liability coverage.
If only they were as enthusiastic about making sure that children have enough knowledge about math, English, History, etc.
Parents with children in public schools should immediately tell their school's superintendent that they will withdraw their children from school if this trash passes.
Then copy their message to the NEA.
If enough parents did this, schools would panic at the loss of revenue and act more responsibly.
I'm not a member of NTA, either.
Gubmint edumakation = homo agendas!
What I would like to know is what the heck does this have to do with what the NEA teachers are actually paid to do, which is to teach reading, writing, science, and math?
I would like to see a mass exodus of teachers who feel as you do. They dont need to go along with this program. They are either with us or against us. If you dont agree with NEA you should drop oput of it.
