Seems some European leaders are giving the president an earful for OUR treatment of detainees.
I wonder if anyone of them could look on the remains of those troopers who could hardly be idenitified as human after the terrorist were done with them.
I think President should come home or speak up now about this! This has to stop we must stop all this and stand by our troops. No prisoners kill them all and gas the ones at Gitmo now...................
Will they call our troops "POWs?"
%%%%
I use this point when I approach the "War is not the answer" libs I meet. I ask them if our POWs are being treated better than the people we have under detention in Gitmo.
After the empty look I get back, sometimes I see them get a clue of what I am saying.
I don't know about any American POWs, they say.
My point exactly, I respond. Those barbaric terrorists do not believe in respecting any life. They do not take prisoners. They mutilate the soldiers that they capture.
Given the length of this war, there should be POWs on the other side.
There are none. Some will argue that Matt Maupin is a possible POW, but the terrorists did claim to have killed him. I believe them.
There were 3 official possibilities for POWs that obviously exist: Maupin and these recent 2 troops.
There have been countless others. The many downed helicopters could easily have included survivors, but we will never know. We do know that our people have been burned, hung in mockery, and mutilated.
How many could have been detained as POWs?
It would be an interesting reexamination of the news to discover how many might have survived crashes and engagements. Had it been us coming upon these people, they would have been treated for injuries, detained, and then housed in relative comfort in a POW facility.
They would not have been brutally murdered.
That is exactly what I tell the "do-gooder" ladies.
Where is the outrage?
WHERE is John Murtha??????
WHERE is John McCain????
Where is George Bush???
The only suitable response is to surround the area involved and start questioning people - SOMEBODY there knows who was responsible. Then find them and put their head on pikes.
When is the U.S. government going to learn that you have to deal with people on their own level of understanding - NOT OURS - in order to make a significant impression on them
I guess we should file a complaint with the Geneva Convention.
I guess we should file a complaint with the Geneva Convention.
"Will the Demonrats be outraged at the treatment of American Prisoners?"
No. Neither will idiot RINOs like John McCain.
"We are dealing with ANIMALS who do not value life."
I wouldn't compare these slime with animals.
"they ought to determine how they died, then present them with 20 gitmo detainee bodies killed in the same manner. "
I agree.
And if it happens again, keep raising the anti.
Yeah, its time to kill all terrorist "detainees". KILL WITH POWER AND VENGEANCE and let the LIBS like MURTHA shed their useless crocodile tears. LETS WIN THIS WAR with centuries old, tried and true methods.
Nahh.
Its a "peaceful" religion.
"God forgive me, but my hatred for those depraved animals and their sick religion is almost more than I can bear."
You don't need God's forgiveness - what you feel is a normal reaction and the butchers who did this deserve the same treatment - I hope they get it because that is the only thing these cretins understand - eye for eye and tooth for tooth.
At some point I expect liberals to call "Dial a Prayer" and ask if there are any messages.
These torture murders were committed by vicious Islamic terrorists using the same tactics (skinning, beheading, disemboweling, etc.) that they used against the British in Afghanistan more than a century ago and in fact have used for 1400 years. We are facing an ancient enemy of civilization that understands only one thing: superior force. But Murtha and his ilk are undermining our resolve and condemning the very people who are protecting our country and the world from these psychotic fanatics. And America sleeps through this, protected from the truth by a press that has given its allegiance to the terrorists and anyone who hates us, and doesn't realize that our civilization and all our lives - theirs included - are on the line.
This bears repeating.
And the reason why the liberals are not speaking out against this is because the proceedure is in the Quran.
"the military grapevine is saying the men were beheaded and their eyes gouged out the required procedure to kill the infidel according to the teachings of the Islamic fundamentalists..."

Notification upsets kin of slain GIs Tue Jun 20, 7:16 PM ET
BAGHDAD, Iraq - The families of the two soldiers whose bodies were found Tuesday in Iraq were upset that first word of the gruesome discovery came from Iraqi authorities.
A senior Iraqi military official, Maj. Gen. Abdul-Aziz Mohammed, said early Tuesday the bodies had been found near a power plant not far from the site where they were attacked.
"With great regret, they were killed in a barbaric way," he said in remarks that were widely reported.
The U.S. military said it could not confirm or deny the report until the families of the missing soldiers were fully briefed.
Hours later, U.S. Maj. Gen. William Caldwell, the spokesman for U.S. forces in Baghdad, held a previously scheduled news conference at which he stuck to that line until after it was over.
"There have been press reports that have gone on this afternoon saying that we have, in fact, found the remains of our two missing soldiers," he said.
"We, as an armed force of the United States, have an obligation first and foremost to those families who have either lost or have someone missing. And to them we owe our first responsibility of any reporting," he said.
But after the news conference, an aide told journalists to stay put as Caldwell was on the phone and would have another announcement to make.
He returned and confirmed that the bodies believed to be those of Pfc. Kristian Menchaca, 23, of Houston, Texas, and Pfc. Thomas L. Tucker, 25, of Madras, Oregon, had been found, although he said it would be inappropriate to discuss their condition.
Mario Vasquez, 48, Menchaca's uncle, said he was watching television news reports Tuesday morning, listening to a Pentagon spokeswoman say the two kidnapped soldiers' families would be notified before anyone else that they had been found when he got a call from his niece, Sylvia Grice. She told him that the media was reporting that the bodies had been found.
"It's very upsetting to me that they would give you details of the torture, of the beheading," he said. "Who tells the media when we don't know before they do. Why is the media doing that, saying what they did to them?"
Grice, 37, who was Menchaca's cousin, said the soldier's mother, Maria Vasquez, and older brother, Julio Cesar Vasquez, were very distraught after hearing the news about his death.
Ken MacKenzie told NBC's "Today" show that he first heard the news a few minutes before his interview. "The news will be heartbreaking for my family," he said.

Hi Guenevere. Guess what? We all made mistakes.
But mine are mine and I put my foot in it.
General Barry McCaffrey (correct spelling) is a strong supporter of our troops, but has been critical of Rumsfeld in the WOT.
My biggest mistake was attributing the New Yorker articles to him. He was, in fact, a general during Desert Storm and was criticized by a New Yorker article for U.S. troops firing upon the Republican Guard as we retreated. He did not write for the New Yorker.
After retiring as a General, he served in the Clinton cabinet.
Namely, the fact that our troops in Iraq (and Afghanistan) are upset with the US Media.
One way to support our troops is to try to influence the way the MSM is reporting the war.
This will not be easy, but I feel the example of a FREEPER campaign on this issue might lead BLOGS and other journalists to join in critizing parts of the US Media that are so critical of our troops in Iraq.
Most of it, in my opinion are political motivation to make President Bush look back so that the Democrats might have a better chance of winning seats in the Senate and House as well as positioning for the 2008 Election.
Freeper email might be the way to respond, but I don't want to start a FREEPER Activism thread on this unless I know you might agree.
We could have a contest to see how BLATANT the US Media is in condemning our troops.
God bless, and take care...
I know nothing about the trustworthiness of this web site, but here's a link...

I have a copy of Seven Pillars of Wisdom by T.E. Lawrence - 1st Publicly Published edition of 1935.
On pages 631-634, it is this story narrated by T.E. Lawrence.
In it, he never says he gave the order, but the web link you provided seems to confirm that.
Without the web link, I would not have been able to find this passage.
So the web link is extremely accurate and the movie seems to reflect the book almost exactly.
There was even one group of Arabs that did not get the order of take no prisoners and they had captured a group of 200 Turks. These were all killed later that day, according to the book that T.E. Lawrence wrote.
I had seen the book somewhere, and I was intrigued by the title Seven Pillars of Wisdom. I had bought it for that reason, but had not cracked the book until tonight.
Thanks for the link. Probably 100% more accurate than anything one would see on TV these days (with exceptions).
