Interview After Words with Andrew Kohut C-SPAN, BookTV Brooks Jackson , FactCheck.org Andrew Kohut , Pew Research Center
Andrew Kohut was interviewed about his book America Against the World: How We Are Different and Why We Are Disliked, published by Times Books. The book, which he wrote with Bruce Stokes, features the results of a vast global opinion survey, polling 91,000 respondents in 50 countries, done by the Pew Research Center. Mr. Kohut explained that Americans individualism and go-it-alone attitude have contributed to an increase in anti-Americanism around the globe in recent years. He also said that other nations often misjudge Americans, overestimating the importance that religion and patriotism play in our foreign policy decisions. Mr. Kohut was interviewed by Brooks Jackson.

Good morning AB:)
So...who will give the alternate view to Murtha? You mean Russert doesn't think there IS one?

I spent last week in Boston (Kerry/Kennedy/Kook land) at the Microsoft Convention. I was very, very fortunate to meet up with Phsstpok. He is as intelligent and thoughtful in person as he is online. He also has a great personality and was sweet talking all the various software/hardware vendors and getting us lots of free stuff!
I'm back now in Sweet Home Alabama (got in last night) and am going out side to see how badly my garden has gotten without my constant attention. It's been hot and dry here all week. I'm off to water it, then on to church.

A lot of Democrats are going to have egg on their faces if the administration starts talking about this.
A terrific new freeper, Ikez78, has uncovered some interesting information; it's fully sourced here:
Big news last night in the Saddam - al Qaeda connection. al Baghdadi is a man leading the insurgency in Iraq currently. He was a Republican Guard officer for Saddam, companion of Zarqawi since the start of the war AND HAS BEEN FRIENDS WITH BIN LADEN SINCE MEETING HIM IN AFGHANISTAN http://markeichenlaub.blogspot.com/2006/06/abu-abdullah-rashid-al-baghdadi-former.html

Help me out FReepers.
I see Lindsey Graham is gonna be on Face The Nation.
I also notice he's from SC which means South Carolina.
But what does the "R" after his name mean?
Rabid, perhaps?

Good morning AB. Looks like an interesting line-up with TS on three of the shows. Look foreward to catching up after Church.

Good Morning and happy Father's Day to all FR Dad's!!
Congrats to all last week's winners. I may not contribute much but I enjoy reading this thread because of all the great comments, opinions and contributions.
Looking forward to Tony Snow on the talk shows. Anyone notice the negative comments by the left reagrding his performance? They have been brutal in their attack on him.
Really tired of the dem's putting Biden on to represent their opinions every single week. Same old tired rhetoric weekly.

I'll watch what Tony Snow has to say, but this entire lineup is duller than usual.

Wasn't his sister the subject of a Seinfeld episode?

Tony looks terrific. Chris has asked him if there is any news about the two soldiers who went missing yesterday; no news or updates.

Murtha is implying that anything his opposition says "is a political statement."
[So, Murth! Most of your statements are political, too.]

Murtha apparently didn't read those documents from Zarqawi's computer, where Zark indicated that they were losing in Iraq.
[That info doesn't fit Murtha's agenda.]

Kerry: "I was wrong to vote for the war..."
[Kerry, if you are that easily influenced to change positions, you certainly have no substance to be CiC. The last thing we need is a President who is likely to change and re-change and re-change courses in mid-stream.]
