I think someone should call Rush and ask him about Rocky.
Some of the guys at work and I adopted a platoon of B Co 172 Stryker Brigade in Monsul Iraq. It has beeen one of the most personally satifying things I have even done in my life. My guys are coming home in August so after we rebuild the finances a bit, we will prob do it again. I urge everyone to do something for the troops. Lots of little ways you can help. Even just emailing them is a huge boost.
I was thinking that myself earlier today, that at this point Murtha, being up for re-election in four months, is really pushing it appearing on all these shows without them inverviewing his opponent an equal amount of time.
No matter who is doing the polling, the results are predictable.
Generating a list is very expensive so all the media take the easy way out and use the ones from this one company.
Much as they all use the same corporation to do exit polling.
Despite the fiasco in the 2000 election and promises notwithstanding, nothing has changed.
They don't make money but they live in hope of having their guys in power.
Considering there was no talk of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq until Bush came into office, this new revelation about the situation in Somalia being Bush's fault is not surprising at all.
Since when was faith negotiable? Sorry Joe, you lose! If you are willing to negotiate your faith, you are a two bit pol unworthy of any American's vote. Like Gore, one day he was Christian and the next day Buddhist, just to raise money?
You are unfit for command Joe, because you as president will need every scrap of faith you can muster, faith in your God, yourself and faith in the American people.
Get outa here Joe!
One night last week, John Gibson had the Fox News Channel person that takes care of their "polling"....and even though John wanted to talk about generalities...like how, who do they poll, the woman kept interrupting him to point to Bush's LOW polling numbers...
Sooooooo, I pretty much wrote her off as a lib...ignored everything she said after that...and John pretty much stopped the interview quickly (IMHO), because she was wanting to talk about the results, NOT the polling details.
Similarly, when Prettyman was interviewed by the Capitol Hill newspaper Roll Call in 1990, the former special counsel declined to comment on why he had resigned. But when pressed on whether the resignation was due to the Ethics Committee's vote on Murtha, Prettyman said that would be "a logical conclusion."
Thanks for providing a more complete account of this. I hadn't read it when I made my post #738.
Couldn't agree more.
No doubt guaranteeing the wanted results.
Years ago Zogby was caught doing push polling on Long Island.
He tried to wiggle out of it during an interview but the woman had him dead to rights.
He said he was only asking the questions proferred by the candidate.
Having been polled numerous times, it's clear that a particular outcome is more important than an honest assessment of the opinion of the voter.
No problem! Interesting isn't it?
OT....but, I just remembered something I heard Murtha say last week on Wolfie's show...
Murtha was talking about how much worse Iraq is NOW, than it was before we went in...the electricity, water, violence, etc..
Wolf said something about the "new" freedom they have with democratically elected government...and Murtha scoffed, and said that they had LESS of a choice now, than they did under Saddam.....LOL
He tried to explain that to Wolfie...but, he got so bizarre, I couldn't even figure it out...he did say that the Iraqi people have TOO MUCH choice now, and they can't handle it...
#741, huge great point...........
For the same reason those accused of (usually, but certainly not always) deadly crimes are held unless they pay a large monetary bond or bail. And sometimes a judge can refuse that, and chose to keep them under lock and key.
The shackles and solitary are rules of that particular brig. We may consider them wrong, but shackles might be kept on as a matter of course for all prisoners there, as an old custom to prevent flight. Various jails have various rules. There's a sheriff out in Arizona who keeps his prisoners in tents out in the desert, and they only get baloney sandwiches, and some call this cruel punishment. Some of these prisoners might not have had a trial yet, but lots of folks here applaud the sheriff for his rough ways.
Al Zaqueeri should have known he was a Dead Man as soon as the Rats started supporting his Campaign.
Pray for W and Our Troops
#754, you may be onto something, but why would Leopold be talking about something outside of the Libby Plame leak matter? Correct me if I am wrong, but what would Rockefeller have to do with that case unless it was a hand off from Fitz to another Prosecutor. I think the Dems are in terrible meltdown this week and I cannot believe it is all about not getting Rove and us getting Z-Man and all his cohorts. They seem awfully bi-polar(without their meds)like they are totally unleashed like a child in a wild tantrum cursing, screaming, breaking things attacking family members. That is my perception..They may be medicated next week and behave better, but that remains to be seen.
