He didn't ask my question either about his reckless remarks about Haditha. I am quite shocked.
So, this means to tell the truth is to get fired?
Kinda reminds one of their other snafu, the one that had the word liar going over the face of (now the name escapes me)...
Did you hear, kellynla, that the up-armored HumVees are causing lots of rollovers, and resultant casualities. There is a reason soldiers wear what they do, and drive what they do. You can bet it's been studied a hundred times by the Pentagon, its just that people think they know better.
Although our vacation this week was wonderful and medically necessary in some ways, I missed so much with the coverage of the visit to Iraq. Never heard or saw video of GWBs speech to the troops.
Made it tougher to listen to some of this mornings garbaaaage.
Gotta run. Love to all.
#202, I kind of like "chia pet" better for Biden.
Yep, still looking for the Iraq plan or anything on WOT or how they plan on paying for it. s/
Thanks for that! I noticed the soldier and his wife are expecting their first child; have saved the blog to my favorites.
"The Fiscal Year 2005 defense appropriations bill also created problems for Murtha. He helped write the bill, and it reportedly contained millions of dollars in federal funding for at least 10 companies represented by KSA Consulting -- a lobbying firm that includes the congressman's brother, Robert "Kit" Murtha, as a senior partner."
"Murtha has denied any wrongdoing, and an Ethics Committee investigation into the KSA Consulting matter may be conducted later this year [2006]."
I attribute Murtha's fairly recent high profile to: (1) Concerns that the KSA scandal could cause him problems, which he will attribute to his anti-Bush stance on the war; and (2)he is engaged in a competitive reelection race and wants to create the illusion that he is a mover and shaker in Congress instead of what he really is, i.e., a political hack.
He is picking his questions from koshacks - his last week guest.
Do you want to do any single post awards before? If so freepmail the details I think I caught one post you judged for an award but indicated it was the second one so I must have missed the first.
Liz says "You're only as good as your last story, and Dan Rather's last story was a lie."
She says it was a disgrace, he tried to ride it out, etc. " And now he is going to the newspapers looking for a job, talking about his favorite subject, Dan"" HA!
She is reminding Eric about how much those people hated Nixon. She says that he is NOT going quietly. LOL!
She says he is a man who thought he had enough power to push people around, and eventually thought he had enough power to push around the President of the Untied States.
And all she has to say to Dan is "Courage." LOL!
Boy, I'd say she has been waiting a LONG time to let Rather have it!
Alito's throwing out the first pitch in the Phillies game today... getting the ball from a Navy Seal.
I love it.
Dumb question:
Did Fitzgerald get video as part of gathering evidence as well as Pincus, Corn, Vandeghi articles as part of investigation?
You're right about the left. They never give up. Ever. They keep telling the same lie over and over until it becomes "historical" fact.
It took them 50 years to admit Hiss was guilty and that's only after the Verona showed him guilty beyond any doubt. And they still hate Chambers even though he was telling the truth.
#213, we are dealing with someone that thinks more clearly about the past than the here and now. He also has a lot of false bravado that comes and goes. He really is a pathetic creature, that probably will never live long enough to spend all his "kited", ill gotten money.
Fred is completely out-of-touch on the immigration issue... totally clueless!
