This is just too hysterical! Murtha announced he's runningfor majority leader. Pelosi announces he's suspended that campaign. 3 days later, here he is on MTP campaigning for the job...while claiming he suspended his campaign! LOL!
Good grief. Tim hasn't invited anyone to counter all the crap Murtha just dished out.
Good morning and always thanks for the thread and Happy Father's Day to all freeper fathers.
Better give my dad his card and present.
Yes indeed. Mort is a very likeable guy, but.......
At this point I am watching BWBs only to be sure of what I have noticed of late.
They are both truly beltway animals, totally out of sync with America. Each man in a different way, but out of sync. Just MHO, but I have rerun different aspects of each show just to be sure I caught the words the tone and the context correctly.
It should be rerun this evening if you want to tivo it, perhaps I did not quote him exacty right, but it was definitely close and the meaning I convey is correct.
Thanks, Peachie.
I really appreciate your downhome take on Harold Ford, Jr. He really is smart. Smart and slick. Very clever how he avoids public appearances with the Black Caucus, very charming and persuasive when he's on Imus. Why, he could convince anyone of anything. He's one of the best "on the other hand" politicians I've seen. I mean, after listening to him discuss foreign policy, you'd be oh so impressed all right, but you wouldn't be able to remember which side of the issue he was on.
And the Elect Ford machine is up and running, appealing to those east Tennessee voters, by driving a lap at a NASCAR track, and even put out the rumor he might get engaged after the election.
Plus they are easily duped by the media that runs these polls. When was the last time any one called and asked YOUR opinion? I know I have never been called and I have been a registered voter for 24 years.
I can't watch Murtha. He makes me ill. And Russert bores me near to insanity with his friggin dad stories. He's completely unwatchable. I don't see anyone on any of the shows worth spending valuable precious time on earth watching. Not a single one. So the TV stays off this morning. As usual.
Yes, the public is fine with "balancing the budget" until they are reminded that for Democrats it means raising taxes, not holding spending down.
Great you had a chance to met with Phsstpok.
I believe your account and it sounds like you paid particular attention, HC. That is very, very discouraging to me to hear that Mort talked that way.
I do think there's something in the water in DC because once most folks get to that area, they seem to change.
Were you just watching Yochi say someone leaked the President's secret visit to the press before he had fully landed in the green zone? Are there members of the press out there trying to get W killed? Can't remember who he said actually reported the news first. When the press corps with W heard the news, they called in Dan Bartlett and Tony Snow and told them they were going to release their own reports since someone had already outed the trip.
I sure hope the White House investigates and finds out who is leaking such secret stuff.
The whole point of Murtha's appearance was to give him a chance to repeat his lies, slanders and stupid ideas on national tv, not to challenge any of it. BTW, Tim did not ask him my question about whether he should have accused Marines of cold blooded murder. Surprise.
I don't remember Russert ever speaking about or even referring to his mom on Mother's Day, do you? Does he HAVE a mom?
thanks for the heads up on this. I missed it.
God morning def....any reasonable person should be able to tell how wrong Murtha (and Timmy) are.
Well put, Samantha.
Not a prayer. Not after he voted to cut and run from Iraq Friday. Incredibly stupid vote for someone running in a red red red state.
Well he didn't write a book about her so who knows?
MTP
Timmy has his frowny face on with the Oil Executives.
[This could be series!]
I agree 100%
The MSM was very disturbed by the good week Bush had. They need to get things back on track.
