MSNBC: Murtha Is 'Personal Attack' Victim, As Murtha Insults Rove's 'Fat Backside'

On MSNBC's Countdown show on Friday, substitute host Brian Unger featured a softball interview with Democratic Congressman John Murtha during which Unger queued up Murtha to attack the Bush administration's Iraq policy and Republican critics. The Countdown host bolstered Murtha's credibility by referring to his war record and labelling him a "traditional hawk" while he discredited White House advisor Karl Rove by negatively labelling him as a "partisan attacker trying to squash discussion about Iraq," and proclaimed "the Swift-Boating of the 2006 election has begun."
...
Murtha: "Well, it's just, it's a slogan. That's all. Here's a guy [Rove] sitting on his fat backside in an air-conditioned office talking about the troops. He doesn't have a clue what's going on in Iraq."

The question is, when do the Swift-Boater's reappear and stick up for the troops and denounce Murtha? I have a feeling Murtha and other antiwar on terror weenies are going to be sent packing come November.

The public wasn't paying attention.
But .. with the advent of Talk Radio and the Internet - America is much more awake. I hear people calling Rush's program all the time and saying .. I've changed my mind about democrat/liberal agenda - I'm really a conservative.
It's not the war - but it's a start! And .. Rush's ratings are the highest for those people wanting hard news. This is even over FOX and CNN, and the rest of the alphabet idiots.

"the Swift-Boating of the 2006 election has begun." Funny they never mention that all JFnK had to do was sign AND SUBMIT the SF-180 releasing his complete military record to the public and he could have proven the Swiftees to be the liars he claimed they were.
Unless...

Obviously, Murtha hasn't seen his a$$ in a mirror lately.LOL - my thoughts exactly. And Jeff MacNelly drew this character long before Murtha became a well-known character.

Getting Murtha is a bigger priority than getting OBL at this point.
He is more of a threat.

John Murtha |
Do you know this man? For years, many of us throughout Pennsylvania trusted John Murtha. We knew him and he looked out for our interests and our values. But that John Murtha is missing today.
After 32 years in Washington, John Murtha has become part of the problem. To name just a few examples:
- John Murtha Wrong on Congressional Pay Raises. Since 1995, John Murtha has voted 11 straight times in favor of raising his own pay. (CQ #648, #317, #435, #289, #300, #419, #267, #322, #463, #451, and #327)
- John Murtha Wrong on Spending. John Murtha has voted multiple times to raid the social security trust fund the key to your retirement to pay for wasteful government spending projects.
- John Murtha Wrong on Health Care. John Murtha has voted to actually make your health care more expensive. He even voted against tax-free health savings accounts.
- John Murtha Wrong on National Defense. John Murtha actually voted to cut spending on our national security by $76 billion. Then, he voted in favor of instituting the draft! And, perhaps most stunning of all, John Murtha spoke out against the brave men and women who are defending our freedom by calling for an immediate withdrawl of our troops from Iraq.

No wonder MSNBC is circling the toilet drain.
Pretty soon the channel will consist of those multi-colored bars and that long beep.
To: Coop
It's time for the nursing home for Murtha.

The fact that they recently put a, uh, "journalist" (Dan Abrams) in charge is pretty telling. No professional executive wants to touch that cadaver of a network....

Like Benedict Arnold, John Murtha served with honor and distinction in battle.
And like Benedict Arnold, John Murtha later became a Traitor.

For years and years Murtha was just a name next to the Democrat lever. Now,the more he talks down and rants on our fine soldiers, the more people are asking questions. What and where is the 12th district? Do I live there? Who is this bitter old man slamming our Marines? Etc................ Just MHO.

Don't forget, Murtha said we should do in Iraq what Clinton did in Somalia.
The only reason this jerk is on TV is that he spouts the junk the "news media" wants to hear.
As a matter of principle, I think a boycott of the mainstream media is in order. I have never seen a worse job of reporting the news in my life.

Murtha sides up with Code Pink
Code Pink has given $650,000 to the terrorists in Fallujah, participated in war crimes tribunals against America and has called American soldiers "killers" on their website among many treasonous actions. They display signs like "Maimed for a Lie" at Walter Reed Army Medical Center where wounded troops are healing.
Text of Code Pink's statement on meeting Rep. Murtha:
Thank You Congressman Murtha! CODEPINK co-founder Gael Murphy and DC coordinator Allison Yorra met with Congressman Murtha to thank him for his courageous stand on Iraq. We presented him with our pink badge of courage and pink flowers sent by CODEPINK members nationwide.
Murtha's "Cut & Run" Comments on Iraq: "there's no progress at all" "it's worse than it was prewar" "we should immediatley redeploy" "War cannot be won on the ground" "I have said it's a civil war" "We cannot win this militarily. Our tactics themselves keep us from winning," |
Murtha's Comments on our Troops: "Would you join (the military) today?," he was asked in an interview. "No," replied Murtha "And I think you're saying the average guy out there who's considering recruitment is justified in saying 'I don't want to serve'," the interviewer continued. "Exactly right," said Murtha "we have become a catalyst for violence" in Iraq Marines "killed innocent civilians in cold blood." at Haditha "I will not excuse murder, and this is what happened" "This is worse than Abu Ghraib" "Hopefully, this is an isolated incident. But we're supposed to be selling ideas of America, ideals of America, and we're losing that war." "These kind of things have to be brought out immediately," he told "This Week," "because if the Marines got away with it, other Marines might think it's okay." "What they're saying to me is we're stretching the military too thin. The army is broken, and we couldn't deploy to a second front if we wanted to." "The troops don't know what to do. They don't have the direction they need in order to supervise the prisoners," |

Murtha isn't exactly thin, is he?
Anyway, it sounds like he is losing it, so keep piling on. He's disgusting and deserves it.
