After hearing an explosion and small-arms fire a U.S. military quick-reaction force responded to find the one soldier killed but no sign of the other two.
A search was under way.

Prayers.
Agreed.
Start leveling nearby houses until somebody starts remembering some useful information!!
Man I wish we could put some sort of tracker on all our soldiers.
Oh no. Prayers for our fallen soldier and prayers for the safety of our 2 missing soldiers.
Yes, this is what I heard. Prayers continuing.
Oh boy. Prayers for them.
I saw this earlier. I hate the "missing" thing.
Fervent prayers.
Father, save them! I pray for these soldiers' safety, and comfort for their families...
I pray it in Jesus name.
Fervent prayers going up now!
I vote to move this to Breaking News.
Agreed, you'd think the military would start implanting (removable?) GPS-trackable chips in each soldier while in Iraq. I'd want one!
This is NOT good. Something seems to be missing in this report though because I can't even imagine only having 3 men at a checkpoint with no backup.
Good grief. Are you trying to win a war, or just the battle?
More prayers.
Heavy-duty prayers for the missing soldiers and for the family of the hero who was killed.
Praying and bumping
Prayers for God's protection of our heroes. Please bring them home safely.
Does anyone know what happened to the two helicopter crewmen who's bodies were not found at the crash site of their shot down or crashed helicopter? this happened a couple of weeks ago but I do not remember hearing any follow up.
