"Keep in mind the new operation in Afghanistan, too."

"Operation Mountain Thrust." You can't make this stuff up. ;)

Watched a story on this on FOX this morning. 11,000 troops ready to clean out 'Them Thar Hills.' It's going to be gooood!

But don't expect the MSM to cover it. *Rolleyes*

I wouldn't give any favorablity to the AP poll. I think the GOP will retain majorities in both House and Senate mostly because the DemocRATS are so far out in left field with all their statements. The American people are not stupid. They can see through what the DemocRATS are saying. Most of what they say is un-American drivel. The DemocRATS don't have any good to say about our country, our economy, winning the war on terror or the goodness of the American people. They are souless. Everything with them is negative. That's not the way to win elections.

I am wondering a bit by what he means by "we"; the party of himself, Specter and McCain...or the party of Tom Tancredo and the others who will give amnesty to illegals only over their dead bodies?

"Dim Governors are vulnerable (MI, WI for example) and conservatives will support Republican gubernatorial candidates."

Yep. "Diamond Jim" Doyle stepped in it today, announcing that he's taking 1 Million dollars from our Foster Care Program and channeling it into more cops on the street in Milwaukee.

Why rob that program when he could ask the Casinos to fund it (they're on the radio every d@mn day yappin' about how much they GIVE to the community; i.e. Doyle's back pocket) or cut a few bloated school administrators? We already have 12 year old runaways that are ending up in our court system because they have no foster home or anywhere else to go. Why can't he see that the crime problem is an end RESULT of kids who have no homes and all of the illegals & miscreants flooding Our Fair State? (Rhetorical.)

Gawd! I can't WAIT to be rid of that idiot. I hate to wish away even a day of my wonderful, blessed life but November can't come soon enough for me! Grrrrrrr!

A majority of the house seats are Gerrymandered 54 to 46 or better in favor of Republicans.

In 1984 the voters voted 52 Republican to 48 Democrat in house races, but the Democrats held the house. You see the house was gerrymandered in favor or Democrats.

In 2006 the HOuse is gerrymandered to favor Republicans. The Dmocrats could actually get more votes nation wide, but still lose house by 15 or so seats.

The same is true of senate races. To gain the senate the Democrats have to hold their 18 seats up for relection and win 6 more. For the Republicans to hold the senate they have to win 10 out of the 15 seats they currently hold.d

Bush is right Republicans will hold the house and Senate.

The hype is just like the Californiaa 50th District. The media kept trying to make us believe that the Demorat had a very good chance to win. I turned out the Democrat didn't have a chance.

The earliest the Demorats can win the house is 2012.

Agreed, one thing we learned in 2004 is these Polls are cooked so bad as to be worthless. In a way its killing the dems/commies as it is giving them bad info. All of the Pols are worthless now. Even exit polls are no good, people are lying, saying one thing and voting another. All Dems, like Hollywood/commies they need to keep up appearances but do not for one minute trust the dems

Republicans will continue to hold.
Democratic party will not survive as we know it today for much longer.

The people who want DemonRATS in control already, for the most part, have DemonRAT senators and CONGresscritters. About 82% of the people in Massghanistan who voted in 2000 voted for Kennedy. They get him if 50% plus 1 person voted for him. When you factor out those individuals who are not in competitive House districts and in competitive state for the Senate seats, I think you will see that 52% of people nationwide who were polled doesn't translate into 52% of people in those competitive races.

We don't hold the Senate now. What makes him think that'll change.

Do really believe a Democratic Senate would have confirmed Roberts AND Alito to SCOTUS in current political settings?

For me, this fact alone makes Republican Senate much better than if it's in Rat's hand.

- Pelosi will be forced to step down from Minority Leader, Murtha will be history and Howard Dean may be forced to step down as DNC chairman

Sounds good to me. Your assessment is correct. The House is gerrymandered and the rats have more seats to defend in the Senate than we do. Ultimately no matter how conservatives rate Dubya and the Congress the choice is Republican or rat. That is an easy choice for rational voters. The GOP will prevail.

The distorted media polls have inspired the rats to new levels of suicidal dementia. War heroes Kerry and Murtha are reminding moderates of the stark differences between the parties and which one will ensure the survival of America.

That leaves rats with only their base...and the story that is not getting print is how angry the rat base is against the compromising leadership of Pelosi, and Reed because they put conservatives on the SCOTUS, allowed another tax break this year, and are letting Bush win the WOT.

If the GOP maintains control of Congress, then Hillary will not be the 2008 nominee. The RATS will go with either Biden or Bayh. Mark Warner will be the Veep.

I think Mark Green will pull it out. I'd prefer Walker but it's good for him to step aside for the sake of getting Doyle out of Madison.

Dubya means the GOP. If Tancredo leaves the GOP it will not be because Tancredo rejected the party but because the party rejected him.

Yup. Possibly 2014, which would only be half the length of time the DUms held it in the Last Century.

If Tancredo leaves the GOP it will not be because Tancredo rejected the party but because the party rejected him.

Tancredo is a fool for not supporting the Pence plan, which is nearly identical to Tancredo's own plan he proposed back in 2003. (Tancredo's plan also called for a guest-worker provision).
