Bush Makes Surprise Visit to Iraq BAGHDAD, Iraq President Bush was meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki face to face on Tuesday after making a surprise visit to Iraq to bolster the newly-formed government and discuss the next steps in trying to shore up Iraqi security after three years of war. "I appreciate you recognize the fact that the future of your country is in your hands," Bush told al-Maliki. "I appreciate your committment to representing the people of Iraq."
The president arrived in Baghdad at 8:08 a.m. EDT, or 4:08 p.m. local time. It was the second surprise visit he's made to the country in the past three years. Last time, Bush went to visit U.S. troops on Thanksgiving in 2003. At that time, his visit wasn't announced until after he left. This time, his arrival was reported after he touched down in Baghdad's Green Zone.
Only a handful of aides knew of the trip as the president had been speaking since last week about hosting a Camp David retreat where the president, his Cabinet and his national security and military team were supposed to hold a teleconference Tuesday with al-Maliki and his Cabinet. The two-day retreat provided cover for Bush to travel secretly and for al-Maliki and his Cabinet to arrive in the Green Zone for the meeting.

I think i'll go buy Coulters book just to piss off the left even more. Especially since (and I only caught part of the story this morning - someone from New Jersey can correct me) the New Jersey state legislature is drafting a proclamation or something, banning Ann Coulter's newest book from selling in New Jersey because it is a personal attack on the 'Jersey Girls'. Could it be true? Are they THAT politically stupid as to suggest BANNING a book they don't like or agree with?
Buy 2. Give one away to your favorite liberal in New Jersey.

Hey all!
My net connection is slow today. Last night, I saw Jeffry Ross' video of Drew Carey and Crew doing USO shows in Iraq. I would give my right arm to do what they did. But, I wouldn't cuss, like they did.
Blake Clark who is a Vietnam vet was incredibly overcome by emotion.

Today the lib's new project--a green platform--isn't even shoving itself into the news. (Never use green wood to build a platform.)

It's wonderful to see DUmmies heads exploding over Rove. Howard Dean was comical this morning on Today - said that Rove's not being indicted was a sad day for Americans. It was their darned Special Prosecutor and they are only sad that they didn't get the result they were after.
