A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

Sunsets and Sunrises.. ah, they produce sighs and amazed responses from us, paintings, poetry & songs from the artists of the world and are a photobugs glorious hog heaven !
Enjoy the pictures & share yours. I had about 75 in my stash & just am sharing a couple here. Also share your sunrise/sunset moments of joy or sadness
A melody & words from the musical Fiddler on the Roof - Teyves soulful offering.
Is this the little girl I carried? Is this the little boy at play? I dont remember growing older, When did they?
When did she get to be a beauty? When did he grow to be so tall? Want it yesterday when they were small?
Sunrise sunset, sunrise, sunset, Swiftly flow the days, Seedlings turn overnight to sunflowers, Blossoming even as they gaze . . .
Sunrise sunset, sunrise, sunset! Swiftly fly the years, One season following another, Laden with happiness and tears . . .
One season following another, Laden with happiness and tears . . .
( sunrise, sunset, sunrise, sunset . . . )
Sunrise/Sunset(thanks Victoria!)
We could not have sunsets or sunrise glory without the sun. It is the most prominent feature in our solar system. It is the largest object and contains approximately 98% of the total solar system mass. One hundred and nine Earths would be required to fit across the Sun's disk, and its interior could hold over 1.3 million Earths. The Sun's outer visible layer is called the photosphere and has a temperature of 6,000°C (11,000°F). This layer has a mottled appearance due to the turbulent eruptions of energy at the surface.

Hi Eleanor! Just got back & reading the thread from the back / up & yours is first/last/whatever.
Thanks for the pix. Nice to have them ID'd. So many we find here & there are no locales ..guess it is more pertinent if there is a skyline.

My favourite of the 3 is the last one because I caught the shot just right with the flame.
We get a lot of balloons over Ashford, I will see if I can find my photos of my balloon trip not sure where they are.

Should be a great edition tonight Ohio should be doing it which with the military connection and Iraq with her son is rather fitting.

Valerie!!!! you stopped by & not only that shared some of your great work. I love your profile page & have gone there often. I think I first saw your work at one of the Texas FReeps? or maybe when Jim Rob visited?
I just know that you are a lot like me.. PIX, PIX, PIX.. people do not believe me when I tell them i have MANY external hard drive full of pix.. FULL ...
Close to 800 gig now.
and organization leaves a lot to be desired to finding things QUICKLY is usually a challenge.
Well, thanks for sharing more of your beautiful photographs.
Someone told me to begin signing my pix.. (as you do).. I do sign the creative things I do, but have not done the others as of yet. Guess I am usually in a hurry to post something & by the time I crop, reduce size etc prior to loading on server, I just feel pushed. I like the one you use.
