Next Wednesday, June 14 is FLAG DAY.
I am FURIOUS!
The City of San Bernardino has voted to NOT DISPLAY a large AMERICAN FLAG previously flown at City Hall, on national holidays since it might offend somebody. It took two votes--the final one was 4 to 3.
At issue is not the small U.S. flag normally flown but the big one that has been previously flown at City Hall.
Four City Council Members have refused to permit the large flag to be flown on patriotic National Holidays, for fear of 'offending' someone.
We want that large American Flag again flown PROUDLY, on America's National Holidays!
Along with others, I am organizing a rally at San Bernardino City Hall for Wednesday beginning at 3pm.
WITH AMERICAN FLAGS.
If you are within driving distance of San Bernardino--please plan to be there.
If you can forward this info to someone in the area, please do so.
If you can HELP me and others, we want Boy Scouts, Military, Teachers, everybody there with flags. Peacefully.
I will add further information to this thread and ping those who reply. I am off to meetings and will add more information and replies later.

I understand there was an article in the San Bernardino Sun newspaper about the vote but I did not find it in the online version.
Official Meeting Minutes including the roll call vote is not online-only available hardcopy at the City Clerk's meetings.

This has to be one of the more outrageous, pathetic things I've heard yet from the leftist local governments in California. I really think we should go ahead and give away the worthless state to Mexico, or maybe it will fall off into the ocean. It isn't worthy of our great nation. California is like a pimple on the face of a supermodel in relation to our country.

I do really believe California is at a major tipping point, particularly SoCal, but really, the whole state. I hope people in surrounding states are paying attention -- like Utah, for instance.
Only a coupleof years ago the (CA) city of Glendale forced a gas station owner to remove his american flags because there were 'too many' and were offensive to 'others'.
As I remember it, the station owner was an Armenian immigrant himself, but no matter to the mayor and coucil.
Just did same with Drudge.

I also have some friends in California I am contacting. Maybe they can travel there. I so wish I was 30 years younger and healthy, I'd be there for sure. But I will be there in spirit and I will be looking for more posts on this subject.

One would think this kind of thing could not happen in Teaxs...but it did...right here in Katy, TX...
The owner of a BBQ restaurant located on I-10 at Barker Cypress displayed flags of all countries that flew them over Texas...and the local "owners association" forced him to remove the flags...
He is still successful in other areas, but the building he vacated is still vacant....
His deepest wound was the demand that even the U.S and Texas flags had to be removed.....
