Clearly we're not fighting PC enough. What we should do is throw away our guns and just 'talk' to the enemy. 'War isn't the answer'. 'Give peace a chance'. Blah, blah, blah.

A Marine who served near Haditha in November said it was not unusual for Marines to respond to attacks "running and gunning" and that it was standard practice to spray rooms with gunfire when threatened. "It may be a bad tactic, but it works," he said. "It keeps you alive."
Those on the Left and in the MSM would rather we casually walked up to groups of people in dangerous areas and just asked nicely if they were insurgents. If we handled these viper pits of terrorist activities like S.W.A.T. teams do....waiting, negotiating, waiting some more....nothing will ever be accomplished.
If the MSM especially the WaPo) is printing stories like this, I am inclined to believe they may be sitting on more exhonorating info. The "another My Lai", "hang 'em high" crowd is going to suffer a serious backlash on this story when all is said and done.

Yes, it does seem to be unravelling. Murtha has really stuck his neck out, put himself between a rock and a hard place, (insert hackneyed cliche here) and will regret this premature accusation of his. He seems to be fond of making himself look silly. This letter announcing his intent on being majority leader is just waiting to blow up in his face, as well.

If the Haditha charges prove false ... Murtha won't have to concern himself about the majority leadership ... his political career will be over ... he won't get reelected.
No kidding. The two times I pulled a pin on a live grenade, I couldn't wait to get rid of it as quickly as I could and as far away from me as possible. I have an average throwing arm, but that day, I would have impressed MLB scouts.

We put a bulls eye on Daschle in 2004, we need to do the same with this bastard Murtha, I have given to Diana Irey's campaign, and will do so again.
Precisely my point. I am not sure about if it gets him totally booted. I don't know enough about the Pennsylvania 12th district demographics to say if he's safe, or not. If all of this plays out and he still stays in office, he'd be severely marginalized and have no influence for his remaining days in office.

At what point does a woman supporting her jihadist husband become innocent. If innocent she was obligated to take her kids and flee. In her reluctance to do so she shed her claim for innocence and became a combatant.
Diana Irey is Murtha's opponent in the PA 12th district. She's a stronger candidate than one might think, having served in a public capacity in that area, having name recognition and a reputation as an effective manager. This has the potential to put her over the top, especially if the RNC perceives Murtha as vulnerable ... Irey will get boatloads of funding.
