House Democrats from Long Island and New York City on Friday joined the chorus of critics slamming Ann Coulter.
The lawmakers signed a letter drafted by Rep. Steve Israel (D-Huntington) demanding that the conservative commentator apologize for saying in her new book that widows of some 9/11 victims are "enjoying" their husbands' deaths. The book refers to the four New Jersey women as "the witches of East Brunswick."
"Their personal loss should never be minimized, especially in such a cold and callous way as you attack these victims in your book," Israel wrote.

My wife bought a copy of Coulter's for me....hmmm, why is it that I highly, highly doubt your wife
bought you Anne's book...
Either, a. she doesn't know you at all, b. she hates your guts and wants to pi$$ you off royally... or, c. you sir, are a liar and not only did the wifey not buy you the book, but you have not read one page of this book!
My bet's on c!

"Coulter is an outrageous and intellectually vacant demagogue. She fits the axiom that even though an empty suit can have a prestigious designer label, be handmade and have a huge price tag from a classy store, it's still an empty suit. That perfectly describes Ann Coulter."
Thanks for the endorsement.I just ordered a copy.

"While I haven't finished it (and I probably won't because it's useless, aimless and irrational trash)..." If you had given your opinion after you had read the entire book, your opinion might bear consideration. However, when you voice a negative opinion of a book you have not even bothered to read, it reveals you to be nothing but the typical feeble minded liberal.

Ann's sarcastic humor is worthwhile because she always has a basic irrefutable truth in it's foundation.
The Jersey girls volunteered into the public arena by politicizing their grief. Just because it is so easy for Ann doesn't make her an empty suit, the best ideas are driven home by humor.

I hope you ordered it from Amazon...? I like logging in and counting the negative reviews. Each one probably means a few more tens of thousands of sales. I think there are almost 900 reviews so far on a book out less than a week.

I've gone through of than more than 75% of the rag and find it not worth finishing.... Misrepresentation of my previous post is unseemly and, if it's the best you can to to defend her book--by attempting to shift the focus to me, it's not much of an endorsement...It was a complete waste of whatever my wife spent on it; money that could have been better spent by giving it to the USO.

Does Jack the cat represent Ann and the big black nasty bear represent the Dems? If so, EXCELLENT! That's a fabulous picture. I love Jack the same way I love Ann.

Actually I would say middie is a liberal trying to pass for a conservative. Nothing like being able to get on a conservative forum and bash a conservative blogger is there? I, personally, agree with Ann's premise about the 4 witches of eastwick, er widows.

Proving Coulter's point: how dare you challenge these women! Their position is unquestonable because they are women and because their husbands died in the towers.

Typical vacuous liberal name calling.

And, no fair bringing a crying, hysterical, woman to the party to plead your case.

The Jersey girls DID jump into the political arena and DO deserve to be criticized for their politics. But it's not just them though -- that whole crop of NYC victims played the country, and came up with about a million bucks each as part of their victimhood.
It's so obvious that there was even a Law and Order episode where one ex-wife killed the new trophy wife who got all the money, and left her with the kids and no alimony. Also targeted in the L & O episode, -- the ex-friends of the ex-wife, who left her when she didn't have the bucks to keep up.
To: middie
I don't agree with everything she writes or says, but I adore Ann Coulter for her spirit, her courage, and willingness to take it to the enemy. Those 9-11 widows who claim the Dowdian 'absolute moral authority' to slam the President in order to further a radically left-wing political agenda deserve all of the venom Coulter aims their way. These widows, like pathetically deranged Cindy Sheehan, use their dead loved ones as a shield protecting them from any kind of criticism or reasoned challenge. Calling them on it does not constitute demagoguery.
