Even if true. would someone who survived two 500 pound bombs worry much about a few punches.

The concussion from the nearby explosives have damaged him internally, I am very surprised that he survived beyond the initial blast... may he rot in hell!

U.S. troops arriving on the scene wrapped the man's head in an Arab robe and began beating him, said the local man.......
Well, his house did get bombed. He was likely still smoldering. They were probably trying to put him out. I would have let him burn. I doubt it's true, but it's funny either way.

said the local man, who refused to give his name or show his face to the camera. His account could not be independently verified.
Reporter: Sir, are you telling the truth?
Local man: Yes
Reporter: Ok. Good enough for me.

An article I read yesterday had another witness who said when the American troops realized who the Iraqi troops had pulled out of the rubble, they administered medical care trying to save him. Who's telling the truth? It seems to me, the MSM is trying anyway possible to make this look like a bad thing.

Julian Philips on Fox&Friends was whining that we would have gotten allot of intel had we taken Zark alive.
Military consultant (ret) said the US would have gotten zero intel from Zark. However, his computer hard drives and other physical evidence at the safehouse was/will be a treasure trove of data. In fact, some 50 additional raids have already taken place as a direct result of intel gained from the safehouse.
Philips, even after the interview ended, would not be deterred and remarked that he still thought we could have gotten intel out of an 'alive' Zark.

I seriously doubt they beat z-Man, but I wouldn't blaim them one bit if they did.

If only it were true.
Instead of "Imagine if they had to have a bake sale to buy a bomber", how about "Imagine our SF troopers pissing on Zarqawi Pay-Per-View".
Works for me.

Ok! I am going on the record and stating that I personally saw a Newsweek reporter take this story, at the scene, from the unnamed witness, and then SAVAGELY BEAT THE SOURCE!!!
To: tlb
Thin as it is, let's take this story apart. This alleged "witness" who would not give his name, he "lived near where Zaqarwi spent his last days"? Sounds like he had the condo next door at a resort.
We know from REAL sources of news stories, that the participants in these meetings arrived in Suburbans with the windows blacked over. This is not an ordinary event. And if this "witness" didn't observe that, he is lying through his teeth.
And, of course, the reporter and editor are incompetent to go with a story when they have ample grounds to know it is false.

darn! I hoped they kicked him for at least 7 minutes.

From what I hear, Iraqi police were first on the scene, and Zarqawi was already loaded in a stretcher when the U.S. troops arrived on the scene.
So this guy is lying.
