Some Democrats, breaking ranks from their leadership, today said the death of terrorist leader Abu Musab Zarqawi in Iraq was a stunt to divert attention from an unpopular and hopeless war.
"This is just to cover Bush's [rear] so he doesn't have to answer" for Iraqi civilians being killed by the U.S. military and his own sagging poll numbers, said Rep. Pete Stark, California Democrat. "Iraq is still a mess -- get out."

we all need to call!
(Denny Crane: "Every one should carry a gun strapped to their waist. We need more - not less guns.")
Stark simply couldn't handle realizing his own cowardice. Drove him over the edge. IMO, this is a common affliction among Liberals.
A stunt?
Funny, they want to paint President Bush as a complete idiot, yet they keep having to acknowledge that they cannot get the better of him, even with the media from "news" to entertainment virtually 100% committed to their lies and propaganda in both overt and subtle ways.
Maybe after he retires from politics President Bush should do a show like Chris Angel's. His first feat could be making Ted Kennedy disappear...permanently.
What a pleasant fantasy.
That's the greatest visual!
Thanks.
ZOTTED BIG TIME.
It's a stunt these Democrats could never pull off. What a bunch of worthless shiites.
Since they have never had anything positive to contribute to this war on Muslim terrorists, I believe they should resign their positions in government, and leave the business of fighting to people who have the stomach for it, which they obviously do not.
These people can't ever be pleased. Kill Zarqawi, it's just a stunt. Can't kill him, Bush is a failure.
The sad thing is, I know some very smart people who go hook line and sinker for this crap. It has to be a mental disease.....
"let's continue to marginalize this lot of factless cowards."
Marginalize? I'd like to see them leave the country.
Couric demonstrating the second most useful thing she has ever done in her life.
"Pete Stark and Dennis Kucinich are both crackpots."
No, they're worthless bums who praise country but America, every philosophy except American democracy, and any two-bit dictator who hates us.
Heh. I'm a newbie compared to you, but I've still been around a while. I don't post much is maybe why you didn't see me before.

"I called Pete Stark's office and asked about his quote and they totally denied it and then hung up on me..."
Following the MO established by their fearless former leader, Bill Clinton, who lied about everything.
Is there anyway Stark's citizenship can be revoked, as well as the people who put him in office?
In other news, Larry Johnson tells the New York Times that Zarqawi is not a threat to the U.S.
These people are worse than "unglued"; they are now quite insane.
Can you imagine the hue and cry, if the had happened under Slick Willie ( fat chance that ) and GOpers had said these things?
Good one.
