I resent people calling Canada "free" . It is democratic but not free. Just ask all the people who are too scared to express un PC opinions in that great land of conformity.

Speaking seriously, you must admit that America is falling into the same trap...eminent domain, regulations, red tape, the rights of the accused, envirowackos, etc, etc.

I think that's getting to be a hallmark of western societies and
it's on both sides of the political spectrum.
Whether you're the Dixie Chicks or Ann Coulter, you're gonna get wacked
by one side or the other if you speak your mind.
So, I'm not sure you should "resent people calling Canada free", unless
you feel the same about your own country..
