Iraqi PM: Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi Killed

By PATRICK QUINN

BAGHDAD, Iraq Jun 8, 2006 (AP)— Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the al-Qaida-linked militant who led a bloody campaign of suicide bombings, kidnappings and hostage beheadings in Iraq, has been killed in a U.S. air raid north of Baghdad, Iraq's prime minister said Thursday.

Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said al-Zarqawi was killed Wednesday evening along with seven aides.

Yeah, they pre-empted the Andy Griffith Show here for a few minutes, but it's back on now. Drat, it's another Malcolm Merriweather episode, my least favorites.

However, it's a color one, so that might be the Malcolm Gets Drunk one, which is pretty funny.

So, I'm sure Dubya was already up for that, unless he's seen it 50 times before, too, like me. Just kidding!

HAPPY DAY!

"What computer is this that MSNBC is talking about -- did they get a laptop, too?"

All I heard was that "a computer was recovered at the scene, no word on whether this may be Zarqawi's laptop or in what condition it is."

"I'm thinking of calling onyx and waking her up! :-)"

My bad Howlin. I thought I saw a post from onyx on the recent threads but I guess it was just a ping. It looks like onyx was lights out just after midnight.

I'm really NOT all that fond of "modern art" and thankfully, neither is my husband. But my husband likes people in paintings and I like landscapes.....three guess what kind of paintings we have. LOL

PORTRAITS, with only two paintings of people IN landscapes. Oh well............................
