Live Election Returns (vote.ss.ca.gov/index.html) ^

Posted on 06/06/2006 7:45:05 AM PDT by CounterCounterCulture

Welcome to the live thread for the California Primary Election. Polls are open until 8pm tonight. If you are a registered voter, it is your duty to vote and defend your rights and civil liberties, protect your pocketbook, and vote the bums out where applicable.

Feel free to discuss issues key to your local area that others may be interested in. Post your polling place experiences if you like. And post numbers as they come in later tonight.

Sounds like when rich NY libs move to Florida and ruin everything.

And the map shows liberals in Marin County voting against 82, so that one is dead.

Only one local TV news station and they have closed shop for the night. Will try radio in a few minutes. Gallegos will probably win. We have a hot Supervisors race also. I supported Bonnie Neely for years but she flipped to the dark side for this run. Too bad...

It looks like Arnold will get the opponent he wants. I doubt the same day vote will be better than the absentees. We need to check San Benito County. Phil Weintraub says that is the bellweater county.

Gallegos. Isn't he that DA who there was a recall effort against recently? I think the very questionable Tim Stoen was up there and recently went back to Medocino County.

Alameda County supposedly ditched their e-voting machines and is doing a handcount. Results may not be done until noon tomorrow. Not sure how that will sway anything.

Tell me about it. At first they confined themselves to Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties, but as those places have gotten more and more built-out, and as the taxes and the corruption and the social climate down there gets more and more like New York and the other northeast "paradises" these libs left behind, they've been spreading out to the rest of the state.

I don't think so. Angelides should win comfortably.
