Pell 'provocative' over Islam (Moozies have a whinge)

AUSTRALIA'S most senior Catholic, Cardinal George Pell, would rather provoke debate than have sensible discussions about Muslims, the Islamic Council of New South Wales (ICNSW) said.

In an interview with a US Catholic newspaper, Dr Pell again declared Islam was more warlike than Christianity. The Catholic Archbishop of Sydney told the National Catholic Reporter (NCR) Australia hadn't been affected much by Islamic threats following the September 11 terrorist attacks in the US.

But he said this could change depending "on how many terrorist attacks" Muslim fundamentalists could "bring off successfully", Fairfax newspapers reported today.

ICNSW spokesman Ali Roude today said Dr Pell admitted he knew little about his subject matter.

"However, as a forceful speaker and thinker, sometimes he seems tempted to put a position forward to provoke debate rather than wait for sensible discussion," Mr Roude said.p> In the NCR interview conducted in Rome, Dr Pell said "the million-dollar question" was whether intolerance was a modern distortion of Islam or arose out of internal logic.

"It's difficult to find periods of tolerance in Islam," he was quoted as saying.

"I'm not saying that they're not there, but a good deal of what is asserted is mythical."

It is the second time in a month Dr Pell has made controversial remarks about Islam.

In early April, the religious leader commented that the Koran contained "invocations to violence" and that Islam was an intolerant faith.

Mr Roude said: "When Cardinal Pell asserts that `Islam is a much more warlike culture than Christianity', I must refuse to concede him the point."

"It was Western European Christians who launched the Crusades, who conquered most of the world (including the Muslim majority regions) during the Age of Discovery, who grew strong and wealthy through the exploitation of Muslim peoples under centuries of colonialism, and who still today refuse to engage seriously on the issues of debt relief, disarmament and trade reform," he said.

I love that word, "whinge." (Rhymes with "hinge," yes?)

Oh, and Abp. Pell is excellent, too.

The koran is quite explicit about lying to and killing infidels

It does indeed rhyme with 'hinge'. To be labelled a 'whinger' is perhaps the greatest insult possible in The Great Southern Land!

Maybe stating the obvious but when was the last time somebody in authority had the guts to say it?

To All: For just a moment think about how Is_slime has acted in the last 40 years and mentally replace Islam with the KKK in your thoughts. It fits in very well with their actions and their hatred of anyone who is not a mudslime.

We MUST get away from the pre-framed debate tactic of declaring Is_Slime a religion. If it is then the KKK is a religion also deserving all the protections afforded a religion. NOT!

It does not matter how many people belong to the KKK 200 or 2 billion it is still a hate group to be eliminated and the same MUST be said of Is-Slime. It is a murderous political hate group shrouding itself in the lie of being a religion. Until this distinction is made, do not expect the governments of the world to take action against Is-Slime and protect the rest of civilization.

We will continue to have TROP appeasers making their false claim about radical Vs. moderate mudslimes while at the same time ignoring the fact that their hate manual (koran) tells all logical people "to be a true mudslime you must hate and kill or convert".

The apologists can make all their stupid 95% are moderate claims but they CANNOT refute the words in the comic book for retards koran. They cannot hide the deafening silence by the mudslimes after terrorist attacks. They cannot hide the mudslimes dancing in the streets after terrorist attacks. The cannot hide the mudslimes always protecting the human debris we arrest and claiming it is just profiling or hatred of mudslimes.

You cannot read the koran and still think a good mudslime can be a good American or a good citizen in any Western society. To do so would violate the mandates of this hate group.

who grew strong and wealthy through the exploitation of Muslim peoples under centuries of colonialism,

Really? We weren't strong or wealthy until we exploited the Muslims? Then how did we colonize them? What wealth did they give us, sand? And it's our fault for not forgiving debts they incurred? How evil of us.

"I feel the same way about the Democratic Party"

Well they do have a "former" KKK idiot to call their own. They are dumbocraps so they are allowed to have any form of human debris in their party. Only the GOP is held to a higher standard and anyone who deviates from that standard must resign and usually does.

Why the Great Jihad, of course.

"It was Western European Christians who launched the Crusades, who conquered most of the world (including the Muslim majority regions) ..."

And how did those regions become Muslim Majority regions? Through peaceful proselytizing? I don't think so.

When the dinosaur media leads a sentence with an unqualified statement and THEN tacks the attribution on the end, they know that most casual readers will accept the statement as fact. They are on the side of the terrorists.
