Some fresh organic stuff such as strawberries and tomatoes tastes better .
Mostly because it is grown locally.
Organic processed food is mostly a rip-off.

Have you ever tried organic milk?
I guess I grew up with organic milk. My daddy was a dairy farmer.
I have always hated the taste of skim milk and then I tried organic skim and it tastes so much better and shelf life is longer.....go figure....

Not only tastes better, but is better for you too. I remember reading that strawberries, in particular, absorb a high percentage of pesticides so it is advised to buy them organic.

The great majority of organic produce is grown by large corporations. The notion that some small farmer is growing a lot of it locally and trucking it to the store is false.

Fresh produce of all types, whether it is grown organically or conventionally, will have equal taste if it is picked when the flavors have had a chance to fully mature in the fruit.
I say this because I pack both organically grown and conventionally grown peaches, nectarines, apricots and apples.
What actually happens is that most fruits are picked somewhat green, meaning that the sugar levels are not as high as they could be. This is done so that the fruit can be run over a packing machine and not be bruised. When you pick up a peach and it is hard, it has been picked green.
I can answer more questions about organic vs. conventional for anyone interested. Incidentally, just because it is organic doesn't mean it hasn't been sprayed with insecticides. Some of the insecticides labeled for organic use are more toxic than those labeled for conventional use. The difference is the length of efficacy. That is, how long it lasts on the fruit.

Anything grown locally and of a species that isn't used to stand up to harsh travel conditions by maturing slowly will taste better. This is why tomatoes from your own garden taste better. They ripen on the vine to a degree that could never be possible if they were going to be shipped any distance. "Organic" has nothing to do with taste.
Organic fertilizers don't do a thing until the organic material has been broken down by microbes in the soil into their inorganic constituents. Better to just go straight to the inorganics. It's cheaper, better controlled, and cleaner.
