Not only tastes better, but is better for you too. I remember reading that strawberries, in particular, absorb a high percentage of pesticides so it is advised to buy them organic.

Also the organic are a different "breed" (is that the correct term?) or berry.

They are bred especially for a large size and length of shelf life, that is why they have no taste.

I prefer alpine berries when I can get them. Small and sweet and oh so good.

I understand that cauliflower, broccoli and asparagus absorb almost no pesticides at all, so buying them organic isn't much of an advantage.

Apples, grapes, and strawberries soak em right up.
