Illegal in Arkansas to Smoke in a Vehicle With A Minor? (What was that about a free country?)

I heard today as I was getting ready to leave work that as of today, it is illegal in the state of Arkansas to smoke in a private vehicle with a minor or on the premises of any business establishment frequented by minors. Does anybody have any more detailed information on this? If true, this is an outrage! Not unexpected, but an outrage nevertheless. Before we know it, we will have to have prior government approval to use a public restroom.

Oh, and as I understand it, our "illustrious" Gov. Huckabee (RINO) supports this further government usurption of individual rights and liberties.

While I'm behind you 100 percent on the nanny state aspect of this, I do think it's a lousy idea to smoke with kids in the car.

Does that mean you'll no longer be able to blow smoke into your infant's face at a stoplight? Bummer.

Although I agree it's a horrible idea to smoke with kids in the car, what happens when they decide you can't eat Twinkies around minors? Or drink Coke? After all, it's for the children...
This is none of the government's business.

I think it's a bad idea to smoke in a car with kids (or adults either, for that matter) with the windows closed, but a crack in the window sucks the smoke out. This is extreme. Period.
By the way, I don't smoke.

People died on the beaches of Normandy so you could do just that. Anyone that supports laws like this are spitting on the graves of those who died in Normandy and elsewhere around the world.
The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Huckabee can go to #ell.

This is just another goobermint way of raising revenoo. Guess the TAXES on tobacco aren't raising enuff revenoo to satisfy the jackboot goobermint.
The "Johnson&PleasureMound" tax is next. We'll all be wearing goobermint mandated chastity belts, and no "foolin'round" until you drop a silver dollar in the slot. The goobermint guy will come around and collect it monthly, or in my case, yearly.

They have this commerical here in CO where a teenage boy is sitting there with his little brother--maybe 5 years old. The older brother is talking to the camera (supposed to be his dad) about how bad it was when he was growing up that the dad smoked around him and he couldn't do anything about it and to think twice before doing it around his little brother. The commerical is so dire and serious you would think they were accusing the dad of being a child molestor. My goodness, a parent SMOKES around a child--what is the world coming to.

My dad smoked around me. I didn't know it was so horrible. After not being around it for years, I will try to avoid someone when they are smoking. Unless someone is just a jerk, most smokers I have seen try to avoid blowing smoke toward anyone.

NANNY STATE PING.........
Blowing smoke in the face of a child, or anyone for that matter, is just downright wrong........but not as downright wrong as this.
