The host might be different, but the partisan bias is the same.
Norah O'Donnell sat in for Chris Matthews on this evening's Hardball. The first half hour was devoted to a discussion of Haditha, with Norah making frequent allusion to a "failure of leadership" and wondering why President Bush didn't know the facts and disclose them to the press sooner.
But speaking of disclosure . . . Norah didn't find it necessary to disclose to viewers that two of her three guests are partisan Democrats.
Paul Hackett, shown in the first photo, was the Democratic candidate for Congress from Ohio's 2nd District, and later sought the Democratic senatorial nomination. But Norah introduced him only as a lawyer representing a Marine who has been accused of misconduct in Iraq [not in connection with Haditha].
Another guest, shown in the second photo, was Paul Rieckhoff. Norah described him as a veterans advocate. But on his web site, this Amherst College alum and East Village resident brags of the fact that:
"On May 1, 2004, in a spot normally reserved for Governors and Senators, Rieckhoff delivered the Democratic Response to President Bush's national weekly radio address."
Norah, Norah, Norah!
Hardball/NewsBusters ping to Today show list.
Norah is a shill. A SMOKIN HOT shill, but a shill.
That ones a dirty squirrel.
Norah should fully disclose to me.
Going back and reading the closed caption transcript, I see that Norah did say of Hackett he "ran for office in Ohio."
But she DIDN'T say he ran as a Dem. In many things this makes things even worse. Many unsuspecting viewers might assume that the Marine vet was a Republican.
disclose or disclothe?

There are situations where I might pay attention to her. News and political reporting aren't on the list. |
I understand you're upset about it, Norah, but it was an accident. Bring a 6-pack when you come over.
You have to do the opposite of what happened to Shallow Hal in cases like these.
Look through her facade to see the festering hatred that is her heart and soul.
Far better than a cold shower.
I've seen Norah on Hardball lately (it's a show I don't normally watch) and she is worse than I remember. She used to feign non-partisanship half decently, but it's become crystal clear that she's a real scumbag.
Regards,
LH
The only difference is that O'Donnell is easier on the eye than Hissy Matthews.
P.S. She's a good golfer too!
Lawrence O'Donnell Kelly O'Donnell Norah O'Donnell
Nice picture, but a woman's real beauty is in her mind and soul and Norah ain't no beauty.
hackett? She had that ash wipe loser hackett on to talk about Iraq? No bias there, eh?
Hopefully, any one who is a regular viewer to MSNBC would recognize both of these guys...because Chrissy Matthews had Reikoff on a lot, when he first got back, bad mouthing the war...
Then, when Hackett was running for Congress, he had HIM on regularly, bashing Bush and the war----but, I don't recall that he had on either of the other candidates...
