Boortz: I NEED HELP UNDERSTANDING THIS ONE (Rant on immigration reform)

President Bush spoke yesterday in Los Angeles on the subject of immigration reform. For the life of me I cannot figure out what is motivating his stance on this subject.
Bush, speaking to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, insists that any immigration bill passed by the Congress be "comprehensive." Just exactly does he mean by "comprehensive." Glad you asked. He means that a bill that simply provides for tighter border security and harsher punishment for employers who hire people who are in this country illegally will not satisfy his demands. We're being invaded. Some of the invaders crossing our borders refer to themselves as "reconquistadors." If you don't hablo Espanol, let me help you. They are calling themselves "re-conquerors." Many of them ... who knows what percentage ... are not just here to find some better-paying work so they can send dinero back home ... they are here to conquer and establish political control of huge parts of the American Southwest. If their purposes were entirely benign, why would they print articles in major Mexican magazines bearing headlines like "Los Angeles is ours!"
Can anyone reading this or listening to me on the radio think of one job -- one duty owed this country by the man we made president that is more solemn, more serious, more important than to use whatever resources he may have at his disposal to turn back an invasion of our homeland? Does the president's duty to protect and defend our borders only come into play if the invasion force is carrying guns?
This particular invasion force doesn't need guns. They're going to have a more potent weapon, the ballot. What does this "fast-track" to citizenship that Bush is so insistent upon really mean? That means a fast track to putting ballots in the hands of those we now call illegal aliens. This is the ultimate goal of President Bush, Ted Kennedy, John McCain and others. In fact, movements are already underway in many states and municipalities to grant full voting rights to non-citizens, and in some cases illegal aliens!
Think of the strength behind a ballot! Americans have been using ballots for hundreds of years to change leadership, to punish political wrongdoing, and to reward political courage. Americans now gleefully use this weapon to gain access to the property of others, and this they do without a moment's thought given to their legal form of plunder. A ballot can be used to change our very way of life in this country. A ballot can be used to gain access to the pockets of every single working American. A ballot can be used to open the floodgates even further to an broader invasion force. A ballot can be used to destroy our rights to property and to diminish our standing as free and independent individuals. What happens when this weapon is placed in the hands of tens of millions of people who had no respect whatsoever for the laws of this country, millions of people who broke the law coming here and broke the law by staying! What happens when this weapon is placed in the hands of people who show no desire whatsoever to assimilate into American culture; people who show disdain for our language and our customs; people who wave flags of their homeland instead of the banner of the United States as they demonstrate for their undeserved amnesty.
President Bush says that the " vast majority of illegal immigrants are decent people." Sorry, Mr. President. They're criminals. Criminals are not generally regarded as decent people, except perhaps by politicians. The decent people you speak of are the ones still in Mexico, still in Guatemala, still in Honduras and Colombia. The decent people are the ones who visit the American embassy or consulate to begin the arduous task of applying for permission .... legal permission to enter the United States. The decent people, Mr. President, wait patiently day after day for that magical notice to arrive from U.S. officials telling them that the American people await their arrival as legal, law abiding new neighbors.
Never in my 37 years of talk radio have I seen a time when the politicians inside the beltway have been so completely and thoroughly out of touch with the American people. Eight out of ten Americans want the border between the U.S. and Mexico sealed. These Americans have somehow developed the attitude that the people they send to Washington to make decisions related to our national security have some sort of a duty to recognize an invasion when it is happening, and to take steps to stop it. They don't want Bush's "comprehensive" approach. They want a direct, focused approach. Criminals are pouring across our borders, and they want it stopped. Now. These Americans do not want amnesty for those who have wantonly and brazenly ignored our laws.
The House Republican leadership is talking a tough game right now. No amnesty. No guest worker program. But ... right now that's all it is. Talk. If Speaker Hastert and Majority Leader Boehner want to insure that Nancy Pelosi will occupy the Speaker's office come next January all they have to do is cave in to Bush and the Senate with a comprehensive plan embracing anything that looks, smells or tastes like amnesty. I think I have some sort of a sense of what people are fired up about, and believe me, this issue has people burning mad.

Neal is 100% accurate on this one. I don't know what is wrong with President Bush on this one but he is totally out of touch with the American people when it comes to Immigration Reform.

They are not giving it away!! They are selling it to the highest bidder (ie: number of hispanic votes) The issue that I'll take with your comment is only the bidders. The Mexi-socialists will invariably vote 'rat, so there's nothing to be gained by the Republicans.
Our Republican Congressmen are selling out to their big agri-business contributors--the same ones who get the bulk of the agricultural subsidies and pork every year. The Republican big business contributors want the cheap labor, labor that isn't unionized, labor that works hard and doesn't bitch and whine about how they are being victimized, and labor that somebody else pays for the health care, schooling, housing...
Our system of politics is corrupt to its very roots and there's not much that those of us who are paying the bills can do about it.

Why is it always that the illegals have the power of the ballot box? Let me remind everyone that "we" still outnumber "them" by at least 10 to 1. Why can't "we" exercise our power and elect people who will pledge to secure our borders by "any means necessary".
It can be done...but if enough Americans fail to choose the right person, or "stays home" or are apathetic, or are otherwise disposed not to exercise their power.....we will be plagued with the mexican "ruling class". They will bring with them their way of "governing"....bribes and mordida...destruction and looting of businesses and taking care of their friends. The very system that the illegals are trying to get away from sticks to them like ticks on a dog...
What I fear is that our Congress will not, or can not secure our borders, and will force some extraordinary measures to be implemented by some Americans. One reason IMO that is has not happened so far is that the visions of the savagery in Waco is still fresh in most people's minds. There are remorseless killers in our government who are perfectly willing to kill innocent Americans, and will be let loose at the first excuse.

Guess you would be much happier with a Chavez clone in charge of Mexico. What pleasure that would bring. We'd be rid of Fox and be dealing with his successor.
Can hardly wait for the democrats to take over congress too. Then you all can gloat to your heart's content. The troops will be devestated, but then, what does that matter if you prove how powerful the 'conservatives' are now.

The President is HOPELESSLY, hopelessly out of touch with the American People on this one.
It has to be out of either a money flow somewhere, or abject retardedness.
I just cannot figure it out anymore. Vast amounts of people I poll with similiar conservative leanings shake their heads in disbelief, too. Absolutely unbelievable.

This is well done polemic. These paragraphs are the nexus of what is so menacing about the invasion of the alien criminal trespassers.:

The following is copied from a post from yesterday about the mugging of a news reporter at the Aztec School and Human Sacrifice Institute in LA:
In listening to this on KABC moments ago, I hear many comparing this incident to Nazis, Islamic terrorists, etc. People shouldnt kid themselves. This is not anything so remote or exotic. This is simply MEXICOthe watch your back threat from an official, the black SUV, the thugs, the law enforcement turning awaytransplanted intact and in toto into the United States. This is business as usual in that backwards, chaotic culture and is evidence of how emboldened they have become that they now consider such tactics will be viable here, tooand unopposed by the populace"
In a number of posts over the last several years I have made the point that the true evil consequence of the porous border will be the Mexicanization of much of the SW USA. What is described above is exactly what I mean by Mexicanization, the wholesale importation of the dysfunctional violent political and social culture of Mexico into US cities. Several Freepers made the reasonable response that the weight and power of US middle class culture would if not assimilate Mexicanized Mexicans at least keep implementation of the charming cultural norms of Mexico from happening. My guess was that because the illegals were so numerous and had established what amounted to Mexican cities within US cities and that assimilation forces are now so weak and diffused in the US that this would not happen.
It appears that the Mexicanization of the US has already gotten fully established. Certainly the current mayor of LA will only encourage its growth. As a further indication of what Americans can expect State Department travel warnings issued on Mexico in 1998 make clear that , Mexico is a country that should come with a warning label and that its political culture is truly toxic and it is now appearing here full grown. The following are other sorts of behavior that can be expected to start happening especially if there is neither border security and a determined program to route out illegals and to force some degree of assimilation on the barrio culture.
Of all countries popular with American tourists, only Mexico has the State Department issuing warnings of frequent hijackings of buses by nonpolitical bandits and uniformed police officers commonly being perpetrators of serious crimes against tourists:
"In several cases, tourists report that uniformed police are the crime perpetrators, stopping vehicles and seeking money or assaulting and robbing tourists walking late at night."
"All bus travel should be done during daylight and on first-class conveyances. These buses travel on all"
roads that have a markedly lower rate of incidents than
buses (second and third class) that travel the less
secure "free" highways. While many of the assaults have occurred in daylight, the Embassy nevertheless encourages daytime travel to lower the chance of auto accidents."
The State Department particularly warns women about an upsurge in rapes of tourists:
"During 1998, criminal activity in Mexico City continued at 1996 and 1997's high rates, with marked increase in the level of violence of the crimes committed, including what appears to be a significant incidence of sexual assaults in crimes committed against women."
Kidnappings for abduction are now a major risk in Mexico:
"Kidnapping, including the kidnapping of non-Mexicans, is increasing. U.S. businesses with offices in Mexico or
concerned U.S. citizens may contact the U.S. Embassy to
discuss precautions to take."
Tourists are warned of a major risk of having drinks drugged by thieves in Mexican nightclubs:
"U.S. citizens are advised to be careful when ordering beverages in local nightclubs and bars, especially at
night. Some establishments may contaminate or drug the
drinks to gain control over the patron. Victims, who are
almost always unaccompanied, have been robbed of personal > property and abducted and held while their credit cards
were used at various businesses and ATM locations around
the city."
Driving in Mexico is very dangerous, due to bandit attacks:
"Travelers to Mexico should exercise caution when
traveling on all highways in Mexico. Of specific concern
are Highway 190 (Tuxtla to Tapachula), Highway 195
(Tuxtla to Villahermosa), Highway 186 (Chetumal to
Villahermosa), Highway 15 (Sinaloa), Express Highway 1
(Sinaloa), and the highway from Altamirano to
Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo. These highways have seen articularly
high levels of criminal assaults recently. Reported
incidents include robbery, kidnapping and the 1998 murder R> of an Egyptian diplomat. The U.S. Embassy advises its
personnel to exercise extreme caution and not to travel
on Mexican highways after dark for safety reasons."
Taking cabs entails a high risk of robbery, beating, or rape:
"U.S. citizens visiting Mexico City should absolutely > avoid taking any taxi not summoned by telephone or on
their behalf by a responsible individual or contracted in > advance at the airport. Robbery assaults on passengers in > taxis have become more frequent and violent, with
passengers subjected to beatings and sexual assault. In
December 1997, a U.S. citizen was murdered in a taxi
robbery. When in need of a taxi, telephone a radio taxi
or "sitio" (pronounced "C-T-O"). Ask the dispatcher for the driver's name and the cab's license plate number."

My Rep. seems to have good sense on the issue. (Thank goodness). Note that his district has the headquarters for both Walmart and Tyson.
Rep. Boozman Says He Cannot Support Senates Amnesty Bill
Washington, May 25 - U.S. Representative John Boozman (AR-03), the lone Republican member of Arkansas Congressional Delegation, said today that he cannot support the Senates version of immigration reform because it includes an amnesty provision.
Amnesty by another name is still amnesty, Boozman said referring to the Senates attempt to change the debate by calling their amnesty program a guest worker program.
He added, The problem with their approach is that Americans see these proposals for what they are - which is amnesty. Changing that name does not change their opinions. Nor will it change mine. I believe that amnesty rewards unlawful behavior, which goes against everything this country stands for. Trying to change the framing of debate does not change the actions of the perpetrator.

"Does the president's duty to protect and defend our borders only come into play if the invasion force is carrying guns? "
Or flying airplanes full of innocent Americans into tall, tall buildings full of innocent Americans?
This danger, this attack is a tad more subtle, but it has a similar result, in that America, as we know it, as it was founded to be, that America is being destroyed right in front of our eyes. And many of our "leaders" dismiss the danger. Maddening, infuriating, stupidity!

Bush is a globalist, if you don't know what a globalist is better start looking it up. The Republican Party was nothing but a tool to put forward his globalist agenda in as fast a pace as possible.
Everyone seems so startled and confused, it's frustrating to me. The man has made no secret of his plans for the USofA, "I would like to see a Free Trade Zone from the north of Canada to the tip of Cape Horn". He is just careful not to get into the details of what that means exactly to the average American citizen.
The dumbed down American citizen is too intimidated to demand or question something they think is talking over their heads because they don't want to appear dumb. When a politician, especially a President makes a statement like that, an answer should be demanded by the public of exactly what he means, because the news media already knows and will not push for an answer.
A globalist believes the nation state is dead, and they will do anything in their power to kill it off, in favor of "Trade Zones". That is what Bush and other globalists in the political world are doing, as fast as they can.
Each is anxious to bring the full effects of the treaties and agreements they have signed into full force. NAFTA, GAT, the FTAA, none are in full force yet, and all over ride your Constitution.
Like liberalism, globalism is being instilled incrementally to keep the masses from flipping their lids. When a person is a patriotic nationalist, the press, the media, immediately tag him with the name xenophobe, and make it a racial issue to steer it away from being a sovereign nation issue.
The government and the press are busy defining the new acceptable attitude, anyone who doesn't agree is a low brow hick, or a xenophobe.
There is no excuse for these guys to gape in amazement and claim not to understand what's going on that could explain such odd and flat out treasonous behavior on the part of politicians. None dare call it treason. And really who cares? Your average American gripes, frets, and looks frightened, but that is about it. There is no fire in the belly attitude, just a hide under the bed attitude.
But everyone please stop pleading ignorance as though that somehow excuses you from making a decision on the right or wrong of these events going on in high gear.

Why?
Because they are elistists, and they feel "removed" from the problems of the common people. They don't see how an invasion of a criminal element will in the least affect them. Except as Boortz said -- at the ballot box. And the elistists believe they can control the vast lower classes at election time. Much better than they have been able to control the conservative base.
Our politicians have become life-time leeches on the public; term limitations will help -- but we need a revolution in the way we view politicians.
The amnesty program is an attempt to dilute the power of the vote of the common-sense, middle-of-the-road American. Because we are fed up of the elistist and global mentality of our elected officials.

What you speak of is CAMPAIGN MONEY, which in turn is supposed to ensure VOTES. Therefore it still comes down to the highest bidder on votes. The question is, does it come from the front end or the back end and it always benefits the POLITICIANS, not the general public. Therefore I am sick to death of self serving politicians and the older I get, the more I realize I am delusional to think that they are any different and/or will ever change.

Does anyone have a clue what Bush means by "comprehensive" solution? Has anyone asked him?
I have an interesting "what if".
What if everyone joined in impeaching the president immediately for failure to perform his duties according to his oath of office?
Would his successor act any differently? Does anyone know how vice-president Cheney feels about the issue?
Might the anger of the overwhelming majority of American citizens be taken seriously then?
