Bilderberg-bound filmmaker held at airport [Alex Jones]
Ottawa Citizen ^ | 6/8/06 | Laura Payton
Canadian authorities detained an American activist filmmaker at the Ottawa airport late Wednesday night, confiscating his passport, camera equipment and most of his belongings.
Citizenship and Immigration Canada agents stopped Alex Jones, whose films include Martial Law 9/11: The Rise of the Police State, and questioned him for nearly four hours before letting him go with only one change of clothes and telling him to return Thursday morning.
Its really chilling, like a police state, said Mr. Jones of his detention.
Mr. Jones and his crew, camera operators Ryan Schlickeisen and Aaron Dykes, travelled to Canada to film a documentary about the Bilderberg group, a secretive group of former politicians and business leaders who are meeting in Ottawa this week.

Interesting and scary followup here:
http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/june2006/080606alexjones.htm
Disgraceful how Alex Jones was treated, and handled by the Canadian government. If there was nothing to hide, they then had no reason to detain him. Therefore, they are concealing something. Alex Jones is not a terrorist, but he did expose the Bohemian Grovers, which is one and the same as the Bildergergs. Good, the more they hide themselves, the more inquisitive the people will become about this New World Order of thieves!

"Congress to hold hearings into OKC bombing
Examining foreign connection to plot, including Arab terrorists"
Posted: June 9, 2006

By J.D. Cash and Roger Charles
© 2006 McCurtain Daily Gazette
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "In what some on Capitol Hill are calling a surprising decision, Rep. Henry Hyde, R-Ill., has given the nod for hearings into the long-debated question of whether those responsible for the bombing of the Oklahoma City federal building had help from any foreign source.
Spurred to action by Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif., Hyde has given Rohrabacher's Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee of the House International Relations Committee the wide-ranging authority to conduct interviews and subpoena documents related to the April 19, 1995, terrorist attack that left 168 dead, 19 of them children.
Interviewed Wednesday, Rohrabacher confirmed that his nearly two-year-long personal investigation into the Oklahoma City tragedy had finally received the necessary support for an official congressional investigation."

"Ruthless Zarqawi kicked out"
RICHARD BEESTON
London, April 4:
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "But his tactics have alienated many Iraqis, even those sympathetic to the insurgency. Azzam, whose father is known as the prince of the Mujaheedin, said that he was accused of creating an independent group in Iraq, making political mistakes and hijacking the Iraqi insurgency for his own cause.
The claims could not be confirmed, but they did add to mounting evidence that al Zarqawi has been increasingly isolated over the past months because of his ruthless tactics.
The council appears to have demoted al Zarqawi and replaced him with a relative unknown, Abdullah bin Rashid al-Baghdadi."

Iran launches new round of N-enrichment: IAEA
THE TIMES OF INDIA ^ | 09JUN06 | THE TIMES OF INDIA
Posted on 06/09/2006 1:16:59 AM PDT by familyop
NEW YORK: In what diplomats described as an attempt to strengthen its bargaining position, Iran launched a new round of nuclear enrichment as the Europeans were presenting a package of incentive in return for Tehran giving up its programme, the UN nuclear watchdog agency said.
In a report sent to the agency's 35-member board, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Mohamed Elbaradei said Iran had started feeding uranium gas (UF6 gas) into cascade of 164 centrifuge machines on Tuesday after a five-week break.
In addition, the report said Iran is also continuing the work of installation two more 164-machine cascades of centrifuges in which the gas is spun at high speed.
Diplomats said they were not sure of Iran's intentions but continuing its programme does show that Iran wants to ensure that the world does not get the impression that it stopped its uranium enrichment under pressure from the West and the United States.

"Tampa GOP Cyber-Attack"
By Joe Kaufman
FrontPageMagazine.com | June 9, 2006
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "One of the tell-tale signs of partiality towards terrorism is the exhibit of an intense hatred towards Jews and/or Christians. During Cyber-Raiders hacks, the group has gone after both. On one hacked site, Cyber-Raider left the following message: F--k the Denmark and Italy and Israel. Denmark, of course, was a reference to the series of Mohammed cartoons that were published by the Danish newspaper, Jyllands-Posten [The Jyllands-Posten, itself, was hacked from a site being hosted by a company based in Tampa.] The mention of Italy is most probably a reference to Italys monthly magazine, Studi Cattolici, which, according to a report in Londons Telegraph, infuriated Muslims by publishing a cartoon portraying Mohammed cut in half and burning in hell.
On another Cyber-Raider hacked site (in coordination with another hacker group, Turkhackerler), in keeping with the Mohammed cartoon theme, the following message was found: FOR ISLAM FOR TURKEY
While All Islam World regard with reverence to your prophet and address him as Hz. ISA A.S (Christ) (putting a holy prefix in front of his name), You keep abusing, Islams almighty Prophet with disgusting and disgraceful cartoons using excuses of freedom of speech. No doubt, Hz. Isa (Christ) would hate your nation. Be G-ds Curse on You!
The question arises why this group would go after the TBYR site."

"Pakistani Gets Over 12 Years for Exporting Military Parts to Middle East"
June 08, 2006
Vox Populi, Jim Kouri
by Jim Kouri, CPP
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "A 56-year-old Pakistani weapons trader who masterminded a high-profile illegal arms export scheme with two United States citizen partners was sentenced yesterday to 150 months in prison and three years probation for violating the Arms Export Control Act.
Arif Ali Durrani was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Larry A. Burns on charges stemming from an extensive investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Defense Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS) that began in 2004.
In March 2006, a federal jury in San Diego found Durrani guilty of multiple violations of the Arms Export Control Act, including four counts of exporting defense articles without a license and one count of conspiracy to commit an offense against the United States.
By vigilantly pursuing illegal arms dealers, particularly those with a history of selling U.S. military hardware to state sponsors of terrorism, ICE is helping to keep sensitive technology from falling into the wrong hands, said Mike Unzueta, special agent in charge for the ICE office of investigations in San Diego. Durrani is clearly an enemy of the United States and the sentencing judge saw that too.
The evidence presented during Durranis trial established that the Pakistani national conspired with two Southern California arms dealers to illegally export millions of dollars in military aircraft parts from the United States to the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, and Belgium, including some parts that were destined for Iran.
Durrani most recently resided in Rosarito Beach, Mexico, a beach community near the San Diego/Baja California border. His two co-conspirators, retired Navy officer George Budenz, 60, and Richard Tobey, 38, resided in Southern California. Both men pleaded guilty in federal court to violating the Arms Control Export Act and are awaiting sentencing.
The illegal exports included temperature control amplifiers for the General Electric J85 turbine engine used on the F-5 fighter and other military aircraft; an afterburner hydraulic actuator for the J85 engine; and 1st Stage Turbine Nozzles for the Honeywell T55 engine used on the Chinook military helicopter.
Durrani was previously convicted in 1987 of violating the Arms Export Control Act by illegally exporting HAWK missile system components from the United States. After serving his criminal sentence he was deported from the United States in the late 1990s. Ultimately, he took up residence in Rosarito Beach and began orchestrating his illegal export business from Mexico."

Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Iraqi has assumed control of the al-Qaeda in Iraq network, according to a statement.
The deputy leader of the Iraq jihad umbrella group, the Mujahideen Shura Council of Iraq, issued a message saying that it would continue with business as normal.
It indicates that Rahman has taken over effective control of the network until a successor is named.
It is thought that an Egyptian-born lieutenant, known as Abu al-Masri, will eventually assume the leadership role.

Hi all,
Just an FYI, just saw an alert on FoxNews stating that a new tape from Zawahiri will be shown on Al Jazeera today. He doesn't talk about the death of Zarqawi, so it's at least a day or two old.
Also on FoxNews, a Major General Caldwell is stating that Zarqawi was alive and conscience when troops arrived at the bombing site. Imagine finding that a*hole still breathing. Hope someone had the pleasure of helping him stop breathing. LOL

Al Jazeera to air video tape from Zawahri
Fri Jun 9, 2006 7:57am ET
DUBAI (Reuters) - Al Jazeera television said on Friday it would air a new video tape from Al Qaeda's second-in-command Ayman al Zawahri.
Al Jazeera said that in the tape Zawahri speaks about the Palestinian referendum, the Darfur crisis and Egyptian judges.
In April, Zawahri said hundreds of suicide bombers had "broken America's back" in three years of war in Iraq.
http://today.reuters.com/news/newsArticle.aspx?type=topNews&storyID=2006-06-09T115735Z_01_L09700329_RTRUKOC_0_US-SECURITY-ZAWAHRI.xml&archived=False
I also heard this morning that Zarqawi was alive when US troops arrived. I wondered if the troops carried bacon bits with them....
Per FOXNews: al-zawahiri on new video tape; does not mention al-zarqawi's death (not surprising). Basically sounds like a discourse telling the jihadis to continue their jihad in Iraq and everywhere.

Zawahiri: Palestine's liberation is the duty of every Muslim
Aljazeera has aired a videotape in which al-Qaeda number two, Ayman al-Zawahiri, urges Palestinians to reject the referendum proposed by Mahmud Abbas, the Palestinian president.
"I call upon them to reject any referendum on Palestine, because Palestine is not for bargaining or bidding," al-Zawahri said, addressing Muslims in general, in the video telecast on Friday.
"Palestine was a land of Islam, and its liberation is the duty of every Muslim."
Mentioning armed Muslim fighters, prisoners and their families, al-Zawahiri said: "I call upon Muslims everywhere to support the brothers in Palestine."
Wearing a white turban and tunic, al-Qaeda's deput leader appeared against a black background. He repeatedly waved his right hand and pointed his finger in a gesture of admonishment.
He also praised Abu Musab al-Zarqawi but did not mention his death, suggesting it was made earlier.
Aljazeera said that the tape was made before the announcement of al-Zarqawi's death, because al-Zawahiri praised the al-Qaida in Iraq leader's efforts to confront US-led forces in Iraq.
"God bless the prophet of Islam in Iraq, the persistent hero of Islam, the Holy Warriors Abu Musab al-Zarqawi," al-Zawahiri said.
He sent greetings to the Shura Council of Mujahedeen in Iraq and anti-US fighters, "who are confronting Crusaders and their apostate aids and the merchants of religion".
Al-Zawahiri, who has focused on political issues before in his tapes, also gave his opinions on the campaign by a group of Egyptian judges for the independence of the judiciary, and the situation in Darfur, west Sudan.
