May 31, 2006 -- THIRTEEN years ago, our troops won a lopsided battlefield victory in Mogadishu. President Clinton declared defeat and pulled out. We've been paying the price in terror ever since - and it might be about to soar.
When it comes to strategy and military affairs, folk wisdom is worth a century of scribbling theorists. Your father could have told you how to handle the Mogadishu warlords: "If you start something, son, finish it."
We were close to finishing it. And a cowardly president quit.
Osama bin Laden repeatedly cited the pullout from Somalia as evidence that Americans were weak and wouldn't fight. Our rewards for quitting were the attacks on our troops housed in the Saudi Khobar Towers complex and on our embassies in Tanzania and Kenya - next door to Somalia - followed by the USS Cole bombing.

It seems all Bush has done these past years is pick up after Clinton's 8 year train wreck.
Now I can understand that his personal experience in war was so horrible that he does not wish any young man to go through it again. But as a senior member of the Armed Services Comittee, what battle is he willing to engage in, ever?
If his experience was so horrible, is it right to trumpet his military record for elections?
We were fighting Al Qaeda in Mogadishu/Blackhawk too. We asked Clinton for an AC-130 before the raid but were turned down. We wouldn't have had men trapped in that raid were it not for that extra support.

OPINION: Clinton has proven again and again that his agenda wasn't a pro-America agenda. He had other things on his mind.

Seems to me we have an obligation to support our President at this time or we'll have terror attacks we can't imagine.

I've mentioned the pull out from Mogadishu and how OBL has cited that Americans don't have the stomach for body bags and we're paper tigers. Most people give me blank stares and I realize that Americans really DO have short memories.
I had yet another person tell me recently that Clinton was the best president America ever had. sigh....
The talking head radio egos are beyond hope. Nothing can undo their damage. While they'll be bragging about how smart they are, our President will be destroyed and our country along with it.
I've turned those radio show off ..
What Osama failed to understand is, the American People are not weak, only those limp wristed maggots we send to Washington DC are weak.
Thank God we have a president now who has a backbone and doesn't have the word "quit" in his vocabulary.
