A preliminary military inquiry found evidence that U.S. Marines killed two dozen Iraqi civilians in an unprovoked attack in November, contradicting the troops account, U.S. officials said on Wednesday.
President George W. Bush said he was troubled by news stories on the November 19 killings of men, women and children in the town of Haditha, and a general at the Pentagon said the incident could complicate the job for the 130,000 U.S. troops in Iraq.
Allegations such as this, regardless of how they are borne out by the facts, can have an effect on the ability of U.S. forces to continue to operate, Army Brig. Gen. Carter Ham, deputy director for regional operations for the militarys Joint Staff, told a Pentagon briefing.
prayer squad
that has a nice ring to it.....
Strikes me someone who just likes to gossip and speculate no matter what the facts are and who gets hurt in the process.
"I am troubled by the initial news stories. I am mindful that there is a thorough investigation going on. If, in fact, the laws were broken, there will be punishment. I know this: I've talked to General Pete Pace about the subject, who is a proud Marine, and nobody is more concerned about these allegations than the Marine Corps. The Marine Corps is full of men and women who are honorable people who understand rules of war. And if, in fact, these allegations are true, the Marine Corps will work hard to make sure that that culture, that proud culture will be reinforced, and that those who violated the law, if they did, will be punished."
Here's the President's statement, what exactly is wrong with it?
Watch it. Listen to it. Don't read it.
Any gelatin will work but most people think of knox gelatin. Recipe:
1 egg = 1 tsp gelatin, 3 Tbs cold water and 7 tsp boiling water
2 eggs= 2 tsp gelatin, 1/3 C. cold water and 1/2 C boiling Water
3 eggs= 1 Tbs gelatin, 1/2 C. cold water and 1/2 C Boiling water
Before Baking:
1. Place, cold water in bowl
2. Sprinkle gelatin to soften. Mix thoroughly with spoon.
3. Add boiling water until desolved.
4. Place in freezer to thicken while mixing cake or cookies or refrigerate
(refrigeration takes a little longer)
5. When time to add eggs, take thickened gelatin from freezer or refrigerator and beat until it's frothy..
<---------- THIS IS MOST IMPORTANT!!
6. Add to recipe instead of eggs.

> Here is where our "friend" is probably getting this news.
Should have known. DU troll.
Get lost lugs, whine to someone who cares.
Hubby and I did watch it together at dinner time...he thought it was perfect, I actually thought he should have said more until hubby convinced me otherwise......if he is happy with it, so am I...he serves the President, not I.
(And I like the term 'prayer squad' too.....)
I'll take that as, "Because. No. Because. No. Yes."
Clearly, you don't.
He KNOWS what kind of Commander in Chief we have..........and you DON'T.
absolutely - I think I need a shower just reading it
Floriduhvoter isn't a DU troll. She's a long-time FReeper...a very real person who campaigned her heart out for Terri Schiavo. And for Republicans she believed in at one time. But to me whether she is or isn't...is an aside from what's truly gone wrong on this thread.
