Do you think that passes for mature debate ? C'mon, Triple-E, you know that's below your dignity.

Do you dispute the fact that McBride is a RINO?

C'mon, Triple-E, you know that's below your dignity.

C'mon man! Calling McBride a RINO is being civil! What should I do, heap accolades on him?

What evidence do you have that he is a RINO ?

"C'mon man! Calling McBride a RINO is being civil! What should I do, heap accolades on him?"

I would give him accolades, stepping into an unholy mess of a Senate contest to try to salvage our party's chances to knock off an unpopular incumbent. Unless he turns out to be a closet liberal, he has my respect.

I did cheat and look it up, mainly because I can't remember the names of most counties generally.

I thought it might be in northeast Tennessee, along the lines of another guess in the thread, but that wasn't right, even though it wasn't that far off.

For some reason, the abject poverty of that area of the country slipped my mind, even though it is still quite poor today and quite Republican.

Definitely a quirk of geography.

>> Will McBride is a RINO Republican <<

Feel free to tell us exactly what issues make McBride a "RINO Republican".

I'm guessing the Katherine-Harris-or-bust thinks any one who runs for Senate in FL without the name "Katherine Harris" is a RINO.

Immigration lawyer, enough said. No pro-business proposals or free market ideas. He'll promote the status-quo.

It only took him, what? Mere days before the deadline. Come on now fieldmarshaldj you know grass-roots Floridians aren't going to support him after what they've seen Harris go through.

Harris Campaign will be coming out strong on the Amnesty issue...it's a winner for her against Nelson!

lol. That made me laugh only because it sounded like her campaign was going to start. So far, it has not done anything except sit in a race car without helmet, but hopefully she starts doing something with substance.

BTW I spoke to the Communications Director at the Harris Campaign this afternoon regarding her position on the Senate Bill that gives amnesty for illegals.

He said she wants the border controlled first and foremost. He used the analogy of an ER where the first thing done is to control the bleeding before any further treatment is begun.

As an immigrant myself, (it took 3-1/2 years to be accepted after filing the paperwork in Madrid and Copenhagen,) I agree!
I believe that is also in line with conservative Rush Limbaugh, and a plethora of others!!

I would say that ALL the demagogues is from the "drive-by" L.S.M. and of a few so called "Freeper" mouthpieces from the "ass-naut" cadet camp, spamming negative statements and screwed polls every-time K.H.'s name hit the headlines in the leftist's "news"!!!

".....hopefully she will start doing something with substance."

You live in Pennsylvania and I live in Florida. How do you know her campaign isn't doing anything of "substance"?

She and her crack campaign staff are doing everything necessary and more to win the PRIMARY. Do you know anything about election strategery? She is NOT running against Nelson at the moment. She has to win the Republican primary FIRST.

So her campaigning is directed to the state's Republicans, not the Demorats. Primary campaigns do not make splashy national news at 6 P.M. Primary campaigns are more under-the-radar and focused on energizing the base to turn out to vote. This may be why that up in Pennsylvania you're unaware that Cong. Harris is waging one helluva primary campaign.

Right now she's all over the state meeting with the Republican grass roots base to secure it in her favor, and yes....she's sitting in a NASCAR vehicle, one of the smartest political things you could do in this state.

You may also not know that in smart politics you don't peak too soon, given the short memories of the average voter. You fire your biggest guns and spend the most campaign funds on TV commercials, etc. at a time certain before an election. Do you really thing any candidate will do it now....at the end of May when most people except news junkies aren't paying attention?

McBride will have a tough, if not impossible, row to hoe mainly because he came too late to the dance. He'll find that too many voters and contributors have already signed Katherine's dance card. And even if he's as conservative as some are alleging, he'll be an echo, not a choice.

"Immigration lawyer, enough said."

Enough said ? It's Florida, that's a valid profession. Now, if he's working to help illegals en masse, you MIGHT have a point.

"No pro-business proposals or free market ideas. He'll promote the status-quo."

I'll withhold judgment until he puts up a website.

"It only took him, what? Mere days before the deadline. Come on now fieldmarshaldj you know grass-roots Floridians aren't going to support him after what they've seen Harris go through."

This is about getting a TRULY competitive candidate for the general, period. I will offer my support to ANY Conservative GOP candidate who isn't damaged goods.

The only person to blame for Katherine Harris's problems are Katherine Harris. It is not the media's fault she has spent $3 million and fallen 30 points behind Nelson. It is not the Democrats' fault she has gone through two staff turnovers in 9 months. She is abrasive, difficult to work with, and downright stinks as a candidate. She should be happy with Congress, but she has to press the issue to run for higher office and now threatens the Republican ticket from top to bottom. She is solid on the issues, but sometimes it takes more than that. I have friends who have worked for her, and no one has anything nice to say about her. She repels those who know her best, and most Republicans want someone else as their nominee. This has nothing to do with the MSM or the Democrats - it has everything to do with Katherine Harris and her possessed quest to rise far higher than her abilities and political skills can allow.

Will McBride's law firm is a PERSONAL INJURY law firm. I *heard* that they only have one legal assistant who is instructed to work on a few immigration cases one day a week...it's strange that he's trying to sell it as an immigration firm.

Do you say that because you think Florida voters really think that Bill Nelson would be a better Senator for our State?
