CAMP PENDLETON, Calif., May 29 In this "company town" where everything and everyone caters to the well-being of the Marine Corps, there is no shortage of people, both military and civilian, who are willing to give the benefit of the doubt to the troops accused of unjustified killings last November in Haditha, Iraq.
Relatives and neighbors gathered near the shrouded bodies of civilians said to have been killed by marines in Haditha, Iraq, in November.

It is not a matter of believing or disbelieving anything at this point. The investigation is apparently exhaustive, so in theory, we'll know more soon.
But just like the Rodney King incident, there was FAR more than to the story than what the MSM and Jesse Jackson had to say about it. I do not trust the MSM as far as I can throw them, nor do I trust Murtha. I do however, trust in the average Marine.
Coop, this whole thing started when I suggested that Irey tack away from this issue and focus elsewhere, in preparation for the possibility that Murtha could spin this to his advantage.
I suggested that Irey is a one-trick pony. It looks like you are also a one-trick pony, Coop.
And I've yet to see a fact from you, Coop. Just alot of crapola. And now you are calling in your "reinforcements". How very silly.
Actually, I did. I searched out her site on the web. Last week I gave to J.D. Hayworth and Ken Blackwell. She is next on my list. But you don't do her any favors.
That wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if they did. Par for the course where they're concerned. Bastards...pardon my french.
You're Pantano?
Ok. You're welcome to whatever information you trust. Personally, I think she knows what she's talking about.
I should have that post #5 removed, Mel, because it looks like I was the Marine charged with premeditated murder.
Those are the words of the Marine who was charged with murder (and found innocent) and his statement starts with "I was charged...".
But that isn't me (Peach); it just wasn't a clear post. And this one isn't looking any more clear either. LOL
One shill, reporting for duty!
LOL!!
Again, vamoose LS, worry and "honor" to someone else.
I'm praying and supporting all of our US Marines, their families, our country and our President, no matter what.
Again, you vamoose. You have no clue.
No, I am not Pantano.
Those were his words from his excellent letter to the editor in the Washington Post; his letter was directed at Murtha.
I hope you at least got an apology. Congratulations on being cleared and thank you for your service to my country- I want you to know that I for one greatly appreciate what you did.
Most of the time she's fun to listen to...and spot on. On this however, (and I have not heard the full rendering of what she said)...I do not rush to judgment as you may have done.
Which means I struck a nerve: good. You're a good man, coop -- I don't doubt that you know what's right. The danger, though, is that your justified disdain for Jack Murtha will cause you to defend where you shouldn't. I'm certainly not immune -- I do it far too often.
That I believe. Because you refuse to do even the most basic research. For example, accusing me of not having data to support Bush taking 49% in PA-12. When all the time it's linked to my home page! :-D Oopsie, Counselor!

And AuH2O's previous post, pulled due to formatting problems, is here (I saved it. How about that?!?):
AuH2O:My source for stating that Kerry carried Murtha's PA-12 by only 51%-49% is Michael Barone's 2006 Almanac of American Politics. Barone reported that Kerry got 141,046 votes to President Bush's 133,088 in 2004; I just did the math, and it would give President Bush 48.55% (rounded up to 49%) to Kerry's 51.45% (rounded down to 51%).
Barone got his numbers from Polidata, which apparently was unable to compute the number of votes obtained in the district by third-party candidates, but it was certainly more than 0, so the CD's percentages for both Kerry and Bush are a bit inflated.
Third-party candidates got 0.65% in PA in 2004, and assuming that they got the same percentage in the PA-12, they would have gotten 1,801 votes there, increasing the total votes cast to 275,935. Thus, under such an assumption, President Bush actually got 48.23% (rounded down to 48%) while Kerry got 51.12% (rounded down to 51%).
Here's the page of Barone's Almanac that covers the PA-12, with the presidential info on the bottom of the page (I hope this works)
Like taking candy from a baby. Next blowhard attorney!
Poor you. Looks like many are thinking you are Pantano.
Coop, I don't do the whole looking at people's homepages game. If you had the source, then why play games and not post the link?
The mood at Camp Pendleton is not good--word on the street (what Marines call "scuttlebutt") is that the investigation is taking so long because a few officers may be getting hammered as well.
