I gave 8 Quarters today. I spent all of two dollars remembering our history. In return,
I received a a small FLower.. Which I now hold in my hand. I am weeping at the sight of it.
Please bear with me my friends....the tears are becoming public. I want to ...ah crap... I can,t go on!

I know what you're talking about.
I had a "bouquet" of them that I placed between the paws of the little stuffed Beanie bunny who sits in the cupholder of my Yukon.
"Booger" hung on to them until they were sun-faded to gray and the little paper ribbons had fallen to bits.
It's just....humbling.

A lot of the spoiled brats that live in this country believe freedom and liberty "just happens" automatically when you are born here. The are too stupid to figure out and understand our freedoms and liberties were paid for in full with the blood of other Americans.

Up here in the painfully blue state of Maine, I stopped in at our NAS Brunswick commissary to pick up a few things for our cookout. Were there any poppies? Of course not, much to my disappointment. There will be a Memorial Day parade tomorrow morning, the kids and I will most likely be going.
