I agree. Anyways, the Chechens weren't really hard-core Muslims to begin with. Wahhabi Arab jihadists have been arriving in Chechnya as "Freedom Fighters" and then demanding that the Chechens change their ways and become more pious. This has caused a lot of anger amongst the Chechens who resent the Arabs for telling them how to live their lives.

The animosity that the Chechens have toward Russia is a complicated one and goes back centuries. It isn't as simple as "Muslim vs. Infidel."

I agree. However any chechens desiring a decent life, that is one not filled with hatred and blood, have left the country long ago - minus the handful of Orthodox Christians in Grozny living under armed guard.

There are parts of southern Russia where the primary schools have more Chechen students than any other ethnicity.

It cannot be ignored, however, that the Chechen culture is one which glorifies death and killing. Even the name Grozny means something like "fearful", and their version of fairy tales is all about great men who are feared and kill a lot of people. It was a perfect place for Wahhabism to land, and in Ikcheria, Wahhabism was made perfect. As it has been in no other country.

I didn't realize how much "beauty contests" were for the immature until I got older and realized that even the "plainest" of women could be the most beautiful of creatures once you got to know them.

Now I just find "beauty contests" to be vanity contests.

There wasn't one. Chechnya is a Muslim country. Certain things invites throat-slitting, beheading, and bombings.

Yep, I fear for the ladies in the 4th, 5th and 6th photos. The first two are showing entirely too much limb for Mullah/Imam sensibilities. The one in the 6th photo is wearing an outfit so thin you can see through it, about up to her knees.

However I don't think Chechnya is a country, but rather a rebellious (they are as you say Muslims, and Mountain Muslims at that) province of Mother Russia. It's located in the Caucasus Mountains, mostly, and borders Georgia, which is a country these days, as well as Ingushetyia and Dagestan, which are are also regions of Russia.
