Charles was able to trace his IP address around the globe, and it quickly emerged that the miscreant was Inayat Bunglawala.the offender in question

"wanker" (Is it a word? Beats me.) I am pretty sure it is a british slang word.

But,
all I found was this:

They may know a lot about throat cutting but we still rule when it comes to sniper head and gut shots and precision bombs that take out scumbags in the midst of good people.

I understand how an IP address can belong to reuters.com, but how can it pinpoint the actual sender of the e-mail?

The divinity of Christ? 3/4ths or more of the US population gave that up at birth and are staying the course. We oughta be getting along just fine.
To: Jameison
This column by Bunglawala--an extraordinarily silly column, postulating that Christians and Muslims can get along if Christians just give up on the divinity of Christ--was apparently the source of the problem. Right after Muslims admit Mohamed was a murderous pedophile.

He looks like a nice, normal East Indian guy (FReeper Cool Guy, You still out there?)in the photo. The following is from a story about him being smeared in an odd mass email/fake news release attacking him:
"Inayat Bunglawala the spokesman of the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) was allegedly arrested in a public toilet earlier this year. It was alleged that Mr. Bunglawala propositioned a male undercover police officer while standing at a urinal. Upon making an obscene indecent proposal to the police officer, bringing back memories of the George Michael case, the officer identified himself and arrested the MCB spokesman on the spot..."
The overall article states that this dasdardly accusation is totally unfounded, but upon further surfing I'm convinced that sadly, the worst of it is true: Mr. Bungholiowa is indeed a muslim.
And he must be pretty small for him to fit in a toilet. Maybe he too will be to small to go to prison.

Reuters has responded to Mr. Johnson affirming that an employee -- not a member of the news staff -- has been suspended over the incident.
Imarat Bongwater has not been named as the culprit by Reuters.

An exception to the leftwing-wanker rule: If memory serves, on the day our troops entered Baghdad, around the same time the statue was pulled down, locals celebrated by carrying a banner calling Saddam a "wanker."

There's some things that are not being revealed in this article. Charles Johnson was obviously helped by a network admin at Reuters who traced the connection from the public IP, into Reuters' subnet and to the workstation. That would be normal behavior for most professional admins. Doubly so if they don't like the culprit. The admin probably turned the culprit in to HR or some other such department.
Admins don't like their networks being used this way.

If this guy is the one trying to stop Islamic extremism among Muslim youth, then the British are in indeed in trouble.

postulating that Christians and Muslims can get along if Christians just give up on the divinity of Christ--was apparently the source of the problem. There are many "Christians" that would sadly agree with that proposition I wonder how many Muslims would agree that the prophet was simply a pedophile who heard voices?

The culprit is actually pretty representative of the leftist extremism in Reuters, the AP, and other major media outlets.
