Sounds as though he is suffering.

Maybe he can get a helping hand . . . .

In other words, he doesn't want to pay the consequences of his freely chosen actions.

I have no pity for this monster. I will pray that he repent in time, but I doubt that it will happen.

Let see.
He is terminally ill.
He is NOT going to get well.
He is in a miserable place.
Why doesn't HE end HIS life?
Why?
(crickets chirping).

At the risk of being incredibly flamed...

When my mother was dying a most cruel and painful death from cancer, the one comment I remember making was that Dr. Kavorkian didn't seem like such a bad fellow.

The moral judgement cast by alot of Freepers is scary. If YOU were the one in the long painful journey till death, you wouldn't want someone else out living life dictating how you decided to end it in a painfree way. I think Terri Schiavo was murdered, she did not state her desire. I do think if I had Lou Gehrigs or Huntington (is that the name of it where you just freeze up for endless years?)Disease I would like to have a painless way to go. And it ticks me off that the moral police of FR would have a say so in that decision.

'He Gets Depressed at Times'

Well then someone should help him kill himself. That is what he did, help people kill themselves when they were depressed.

MORAL ABSOLUTES PING.

DISCUSSION ABOUT:

Dying 'Dr. Death' Has Second Thoughts About Assisting Suicides

Kevorkian is responsible for over 100 deaths, he deserves no sympathy from anybody.

"He now realizes that having performed it when it was against the law, wasn't the, probably, appropriate way to go about it. …

He just figured this out? Not very bright, is he?

I find it incredibly ironic that he now has the opportunity to "reflect" on his own life as he slowly dies. Those he "assisted" were not given as much...

Kevorkian is just a killer -- his prison term came about because he admitted in open court that he'd been the one to turn the valve open, not the "patient".

This is what I thought the whole euthanasia debate was about, the lethal injection, until Michael Schiavo came along and made starvation and dehydration chic again. I'm glad Kevorkian is having second thoughts though, maybe Michael Schiavo will come around some day too. As pro-life author Mary Senander has pointed out everyone eventually dies but for the euthanasia crowd certain people (e.g. the disabled) are not dying fast enough.

Kevorkian suffers from Hepatitis C, which he contracted during service in Vietnam

So...someone loved him long-time, eh?

I think Rush had it right: Kevorkian is a ghoul.
