Customs officers in Laredo seized 23.5 million dollars worth of cocaine in two large seizures. That's what U-S Customs and Border Protection said today. Officers yesterday found 152 pounds of cocaine valued at four-point-eight (m) million dollars hidden in a shipment of tiles at the World Trade Bridge linking the U-S and Mexico. The seizure came barely 24 hours after agents found 18.7 million dollars worth of cocaine in a bus.

When I hear about the street price going up, then I'll know it's having an effect.

Just imagine what would happen if the military was on the border.

With the senate immigration bill expect much more of this. This is a drop in the bucket. Of course maybe this is why they voted the way they did.

Sounds like the drug dealers are trying to get their caches across the border before the NG show up.

Hopefully, they've under reported by more than a few kilos to get that whole chain of dealers looking twice at each other and wondering who's taking a cut. To twist the knife, they should also report that it was of medium quality due to all the talcum powder that was used to cut it. :-)

Hmmm! Go figure. Even in a prison with walls, guards, guns the lowlifes can get drugs. What are the chances of keeping drugs getting through thousands of miles of border manned by unionized government employees and the occasional MinuteMan (attacked by our leaders as vigilantes) in a deck chairs with binoculars?

That's just the ones that they wanted to be found to draw attention away from the other 100 million worth coming in at other locations this week.

Finder's fee, maybe. Put an OZ of weed on a scale and it usually comes out to 7/8s. Er, uh, so I'm told. As it makes its way down the food chain, ppl take a little for themselves.
