Today the President Attended the Change of Command Ceremony for the Commandant of the United States Coast Guard
Later today the President will welcome British Prime Minister Tony Blair to the White House. Today's dose will also be a live thread of their Press Conference.
Yesterday the Vice President attended a joint session of Congress for an address by Israel Prime Minister Ehud Olmert
Yesterday Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice met with the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Mohamed ElBaradei at the State Department
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island
The Senate where you walk in and say "I see dumb people".
Just when you think the HBM can't go any lower.........
I really, really have to work hard not to hate those people.
President: The terrorists made it clear they are just waiting for Great Britaian and America to leave Iraq. They are totalitarians. They are Islamic fascists. They want to impose that philosophy on the rest of the world.
Tony has a good point. Why are they resisting so hard? Why don't they like democracy? It's against what they believe. No women's rights. No freedom of religion.
I can undrestand why the American people are troubled by the war in Iraq. But the freedom there will make us more secure and will make a powerful statement in the Middle East.
"Iraq just happens to be one of the battles in the War on Terror."
Translation: Are you listening to me tonight mr Ahmadinajihad!
I LOVE IT WHEN GWB GETS GOING ON SOMETHING THAT REALLY IS IN HIS HEART!!!
I LOVE it when the President gets PASSIONATE about our War on Terror . . . GO PRESIDENT GO!!
Bush is on fire tonight,
I posted the ABC Blog called "The Note" earlier on this thread. They told viewers there is heavy homoeroticism between Blair and Bush.
Disgusting pigs. I am writing a letter to ABC tomorrow when I calm down just a tad.
And, I t hought leftists thought homosexuality was to be embraced so even if there WAS homoeroticism between these two macho men, why would ABC care? Hypocrites.
Go, W!!!
He sure is --- he's taking names and kicking A.
A more-detailed defense of the liberation of Iraq from both Bush and Blair now.
I may not agree with the President 100% of the time..... but just damn.. He is a great President!
Blair: Our forces have been there iwth the consent of the Iraqi government. Whatever people thought about removing Saddam, the issue in Iraq hasn't been these people are here without international support, because we had a UN resolution govering our presence there, this Iraqi elected government wants us to stay until the job is done.
So why is it that for 3 years we've had bloodshed. People say you don't understand their culture is different and they don't want freedom. These people went out and voted in higher numbers than your election or mine despite terrorism and bloodshed and literally the prospect of death.
They have kept faith with the democratic values we believe in.
We are listening to President Bush, the media is listening to oldwhathisfacelatestterroristiniran.
The scene in that room shot from the left side of President Bush toward the audience reminded me of the famous painting of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in Philadelphia. A beautiful room, terrific speakers in command, and reporters who look like they are actually paying attention.
Thanks for getting that entire statement from Blair. It was very powerful.
Here is the thread
