Way to go Hasert, still taking the high road when you're losing the House.

Let him stay there until he is convicted or vindicated.

Let it play out. The longer the better.

My pleasure. Personally, I cringed when I wrote it.

I hope you made a call to FAT ASS Hasert! I sure as hell did!!! Hasert is the same RINO twit who keeps Real Conservatives like Mike Pence in the shadows!
I also called Bill Frist & gave his office an ear full as well.
Do these pricks think congress is above the law?

Why did he have to be asked? When there was a question regarding Tom Delay he stepped down immediately. He didn't HAVE to be asked.

Not quite true - the leadership tried to push through a change to 1994 Contract with America rules on his behalf, so he didn't have to resign his majority leader position. They succeeded, but eventually reversed the decision - maybe from constituents giving these guys an earful. He was indicted September 2005, but only stepped down from the majority leader post in January. He said in April that he would resign from his congressional seat in June.

There is a fine legal point in his argument that just may give way to legislation on House ethics.

Could that point be that our legislators are currently placed above the law that the rest of us are directed to follow under threat of punishment?

"I don't think the MSM has any choice in this one, not all that unlike they had no choice in Rathergate."

I respectfully disagree. MSM are already spinning this as "both sides having problems with the raid..."

True, but Hasert & Frist had the gall to criticize Bush for "invasion of privacy" I'm fed up with these RINO Republicans trying to out Democrat the damn Democrats!

Are you of the opinion that those pricks in Congress are above the law? Apparently, Hasert (RINO) agrees with you.

It was sarcasm. Hastert is now a traitor in my book based on his recent behavior regarding the searches.

How about Trent Lott?

What does Lott have to do with McGavin999's statement that DeLay stepped down immediately?

Do I recall that it is rule of the Democrats in the House that they should step down if indicted and the Pubbies have no such rule?

Do these pricks think congress is above the law?

As a matter of fact, yes. Many of the laws they write for us peon citizens specifically do not apply to members of Congress.

But he knows the "Ways" and he certainly now has the "Means" to serve on the committee...

Indeed he do.

Funny as it was, just reading it requires I get a checked out with a complete physical and blood work- you know, just in case. Seeing that you wrote it, I fear far worse is in store for you. ;)

Loony Left Heads exploding on the DU you can bet..

For kicks I was reading the DU comments yesterday on the Jefferson story and the predominate line of thought was that this was a evil Carl Rove master plan and Rove ordered the FBI to plant the money in the freezer setting him up on phony charges, and that Jefferson was completely innocent.
