Wafa Sultan:The clash we are witnessing around the world is not a clash of religions, or a clash of civilizations.... It is a clash between a mentality that belongs to the Middle Ages and another mentality that belongs to the 21st century. It is a clash between civilization and backwardness, between the civilized and the primitive, between barbarity and rationality. It is a clash between freedom and oppression, between democracy and dictatorship. It is a clash between human rights, on the one hand, and the violation of these rights, on other hand. It is a clash between those who treat women like beasts, and those who treat them like human beings. What we see today is not a clash of civilizations. Civilizations do not clash, but compete... [snip]
Host: I understand from your words that what is happening today is a clash between the culture of the West, and the backwardness and ignorance of the Muslims?
Wafa Sultan: Yes, that is what I mean.
fwiw, i think you are a DECENT/moral person, whom some here would do well to emulate.

A reformation of Islam would cause its dissapearance. That is why the ulama will resist reformation to the death, both theirs and ours.
You're out of control - again. I have repeatedly told you to stop slandering me. You refuse, plus on this thread alone your verbal abuse directed at numerous people is appallingly evident.
If you falsely label me as "bigot" a "hater" or any other of your lies regarding my character you will be reported to Jim Robinson - again!
I have to concurr with M. Espinola. You are extremely abusive with personal attacks! I have been much too busy lately to respond to your drivel and libel. Did not even wish to dignify such lunacy by responding. But, I do hope you hear from the powers to be. The pity is that like all slanderous miscriants you would complain that it is the fault of everyone else...that all these horrible freepers are BIGOTED toward you, rather than acknowledging that the biggest BIGGOT can be observed in your own bathroom mirror!!!
Note to self: Use preview. But the upshot is that "bigot" with two G's has the advantage of creatively emphasizing the adjective "biggest", which cannot be emphasized enough in this case.
Knock knock
who's there?
Bigger
Bigger who?
Bigger Biggot, LOL!
Placing quotation marks around:
"Blaming FReepers who try to bring disturbing facts to light is not likely to bear good fruit for you. God's blessing and good luck to you with the choices you face."
Methinks would change the meaning of your comment - that's followed by:
Great closing to you post, which I must say was very robust in content and sincerity.
Am I on target, or what, LOL!?
Some people are just into the game of messing with peoples heads.
Mohammad, by many accounts, plagarized jewish and christian texts, combined them with satanic verses, thus beginning the world's most violent, sadistic, false belief system.
Wrong. It's a clash between Mohammedanism and the vestigal Christian heritage of the West.
The Middle Ages brought us the greatest philosophical movement in world history, the Scholastic movement, and the rise of the university. The 20th century has given us such triumphs of humanism as communism and socialism, and the slaughter of countless millions.
Well, the Protestant revolution has had devastating consequences for Europe. The modern intellectual descent into madness can be traced through the Protestant notion of private interpretation of scripture through Rationalism, humanism, Darwinism, Hegelianism, Marxism and Socialism.
The world should have paid attention to Pius IX's Syllabus of Errors.
Of course in the same way, I guess stand welcomes bilge from the coven of DYs and SCALAWAGS.
The Muslims would agree with you that civilized religious tolerance is an "error".

Did I say that political religious tolerance is an error? Religious relativism or indifference is a grave error. It's one of the countless errors of modernity.
Is there anything in the "Syllabus" in particular that you take issue with?
15. Every man is free to embrace and profess that religion which, guided by the light of reason, he shall consider true.
77. In the present day it is no longer expedient that the Catholic religion should be held as the only religion of the State, to the exclusion of all other forms of worship.
78. Hence it has been wisely decided by law, in some Catholic countries, that persons coming to reside therein shall enjoy the public exercise of their own peculiar worship.
If these statements were asserted to be error only in the specific "Catholic" case (so that, for example, Pius IX found no "error" in the notion that a Protestant country's decision to tolerate Catholic churches was "wisely decided", then they is simply crass pleas for special rights.)
