BUSH: 'In the event of any attack on Israel, the United States will come to Israel's aid'...
We have this magic device called "radar" that is capable of tracking aircraft. It wouldn't be hard to tell where it came from. :)
How refreshing. I hope I see it on Fox News tonight.
"Any Freepers have a problem with this?"
Nope.
Just believe though, that Israel has all the firepower they need to wipe out all of their neighbors anytime they want to.
I say to them - start the countdown to missle launch now.
Projection: : the attribution of one's own ideas, feelings, or attitudes to other people or to objects; especially : the externalization of blame, guilt, or responsibility as a defense against anxiety
The odds of an Iranian jet being allowed to get that close to Israeli airspace is exactly nil.
During the Yom Kippur war, President Nixon had a virtual air bridge of supplies running to Israel
People often forget all that this great president did for the country, he was thrown under a bus by the Media and the dems
Well, we may have the chance to find out.
You're believing the polls a little too much. If I were Iran, I wouldn't be too inclined to find out if Dubya is bluffing or not.
Personally, I think he very definitely is NOT.
Thank you for noting my manliness, by the way. :P
It's not like you didn't ask for it...
Now you want a perfect world where its impossible for a terrorist to use a nuke? Well, that's what we are fighting the WOT for. You are correct there is less support for Israel today. you are not correct that the US wouldn't defend Israel, and of course Israel would defend itself. AND you are changing the subject now to an untraceable terror attack, which was NOT the original point.
What are you going to do then?
Someone else called me a mole, and addressed it to you also. So I addressed my response to you, also. Sorry for the confusion.
What you are saying is the longstanding line. I don't doubt that. I just don't think if push came to shove, it would work out that way.
As for the point you are asking me to concede, I have said in other posts that I don't think Israel would respond that overwhelmingly to a nuke attack at all. In fact, the survivors would probably look for a quick way to a truce.
Hope I'm wrong.
:-)
Do you really think so? My own take is that interest and support for Israel has declined enormously. Democrats used to support Israel--all that's left is Leiberman. US Jews don't really support Israel--76% voted against Bush, and Kerry is not pro-Israel.
All Israel really has in the US are pro-Israel evangelicals--you know, those nutty fundamentalists that the neocons are afraid of. The World Council of Churches is pro-Pali with nary a whisper of indignation from most of this country's intellectuals.
Most of those who really care about Israel are posting on this forum. The rest of the world just wants Israel to go away and stop embarrassing them.
Who says it would be an Iranian Jet? I just said a passenger jet.
"Who do you nuke in response? The liberals in congress[.]"
"Maybe it means that many of us have to start carrying weapons for our own defense."
I honestly think it will come to that... gotta love the 2nd amendment. Are you just starting? haha
Outstanding.
Now, just add Taiwan in there and the world will be just.
Adopt the One China Policy; R.O.C!
I don't think Dubya would survive the political aftermath of nuking another country. He'd be run out of office. A president can't do whatever he wants. Without the support of most Americans, he is weak.
"Stop being ridiculous by inferring critics of one policy transfer that to another."
I agree Soul. This Bushbot poster believes that any critics of some of G.W.'s policies automatically disagree with all of G.W.'s policies.
