You don't want to p*ss the white man off. Look what he did to the Indians.
Get the hell out of here with that crap.

" I'm sick to damn death of the whining from the close the border crowd"
It's all in the same picture. Bush has pzzed away his base NEEDLESSLY on the wetback issue when he needs firm support for Taiwan and Israel issues.
If Israel is attacked, It doesn't make any difference what is said here, the American pilots will climb into their freshly painted fighters and take off just like they did off the the carrier JFK in the Yom Kippur war. Russia has no teeth and China is not yet ready to wipe out Taiwan. They can do more damage by dumping our bonds.
The reason we have ever had for being in Iraq is to have a base for muzzling Iran's nutcases if their locals can't do it.

If there's one missile and a mushroom cloud - and that's how Iran would have to do it to hit Tel Aviv - then there would be many more going the other direction. We have treaties, ratified by the US Congress, that say as much. They are the law, and the President will carry it out, even if he has to explain and apologize later.

I'm not a liberal, a leftist, nor a democrat. What's the matter - can't tolerate a little discussion?

I believe it's a message to Iran. Funny isn't it, how loud the drums beat yet the majority of Americans seem deaf. We have no choice but to support and defend Israel. Israel is what it is all about and always has been.

Great! Thanks. I just wanted better confirmation than Drudge.

That's kinda beside the point though. :)
Iran would be full of glass parking lots, which is what Hitman disputes.

With all due respect, I think you're wrong. I am not a Jew (and to be perfectly honest, I don't care for many) but I think/hope we'd take action.

We have a troll infestation. Seems like he's an old troll though that has no clue about US defense posture.
To: HitmanLV
I didnt call you a mole, but you are being ridiculous. we not only would defend Israel, but Israel has many nukes and would use them. So I'm waiting now for you to say Israel wouldn't use its own nukes or air force or army to defend itself??? Why don't you just concede that last one and sleep easy tonight?
To: Constantine XIII
Why would it necessarily have to be a missile? How about putting one on a passenger jet (whether the passengers know or not), flying over Tel Aviv, set for landing, and KABOOM! Quick decapitation of Israel's government and military structure.
Then what, tough guy?

What specifically makes you think Dubya could talk Americans into supporting a third military adventure in the Mid East to avenge the crater that is Tel Aviv?
---
What makes you think Dubya would ask the American people anything in that case? This President would do what he felt necessary. He would not take a poll, get a "sense of the Congress resolution" or wait to hear what Katie Couric had to say about it.
To: HitmanLV
Good for you. And I hope we don't have to find out, but I think we will.

"Who do you nuke in response? The liberals in congress would insist on not harming innocents because of a small minority of religious whackos"
1st.. I'm sure we would know who did it. 2nd.. at that point, liberals and whackos would be moot.
To: Uddercha0s
I hope I am wrong in this case. I take no offense. I hope our response would be overwhelming.
I have just come to expect it to be underwhelming.
Don't hate me because of that.

Minor quibble - this would be World War IV. Historians are finally starting to call the Cold War by its proper name, World War III.
Ronald Reagan won that war for us.

Thats exactly right. In the case of a nuclear launch the buck stops with the Prez. He doesnt have to ask the public to launch the big ones.

What makes you think I'm a troll? I just don't see much evience in the current political climate that the USA would do much in this situation.
That doesn't make me a mole, son.
