Mark Belling On Rush - apologist for do nothing on the border
RushLimbaugh Show ^ | May 23, 2006 | Mark Belling on Rush

Mark Belling On Rush - apologist for do nothing on the border Congress and Bush.

On the border control discussion on Rush's show, stand-in host Mark Belling was a clear example of what is wrong with our past immigration policy and especially what is wrong with it now.

His lame excuses don't cut it. A caller to the show pointed out the laws that are in place now that could be enforced and all Belling did was make more excuses. The same caller pointed out all the programs and welfare that are in place for illegals and lure them to the U.S. and Belling again made excuses.

In the final word, Belling kept falling back on a "its a very difficult situation."

No, it is only difficult if you do not want to do something about it. There are laws to be enforced. Enforce them. There are benefits being offered to illegals. take them away.

There is a wide open border. Bush has the authority now to put troops on the border. DO IT and DO IT NOW! All Bush needs to say it that it is for national security and move the troop there.

If Congress wants to try and stop him, let them have at it. I bet they don't have the courage. Just like Bush does not have the courage to do it.

Belling is so wrong on this I turned off the radio and won't listen to Rush any time that idiot is stepping in as a subsitute host. I don't tune in for BS on the border issue. I can see plenty of that from Bush and Congress (a very few Congressman excepted).

(Sorry for this vanity. I needed to vent).

So? What does that have to do with anything?

A question in a debate does not mean that even a significant minority of voters cared about immigration.

You wage quite a campaign, but it is going to be very hard to keep Joe Sixpack in the fold. And it's Joe who supports the WOT (or, at least he did, I think Bush is in some serious trouble on the war front with these disapprovals). Joe did the political work for the lofty neos with their hot and cold running maids and yardmen--now Joe's hopping mad and the neos are making snide remarks about Joe to try to force him into line. Wise move? Don't think so.

Bad politics, that, pretentious urban snots telling Joe he'd better not squawk about the destabilization of America through invasion.

The pretentious urban RINOS ought also to realize that the soldiers now in Iraq come from the families like the Sixpacks, not the Barnes and the Kristols. Neos just aren't willing to do that kind of work, deah.

Most of them are guilty of fraud, perjury, forgery, and other crimes.
"My experience from working in an Immigration law office back during the Amnesty of the late 80s was that a lot of them are also guilty of DUI and child molestation. Real lowbrow stuff."

Around here, (Dallas) every time you turn on the TV, they are involved in a high speed chase, a auto accident with no insurance and are even killing cops. This has got to stop.

"The dems made this 30 year old problem a major issue to divide the base. They did it through fueling these protests with the massive turnouts----Its the port deal all over with and the rats are loving it."

Well that's to the benefit of America if true. This is a problem that NEEDS to be fixed or else America ceases to exist as we know it. The Census bureau estimates that over 100 million hispanics will inhabit the American West and Southwest by the year 2020; that amounts to a literal conquest of part of our nation, without ever firing a shot. What good is having the Republican Party in power if they refuse to act on something this monumentally important to our nation? Maybe those Founding Fathers were more ingenious than we all thought, with the institution of the two-party system.

That's right, the minute men movement and it's spin offs just popped up out of nowhere when Bush put something in the congressional calender. Years of frustration because of government apathy didn't have anything to do with it.

Maybe, but if so, he's not a true conservative.
I'll not turn this into a boxer/brief discussion, skydancer is far too young to share that info with. ;)

There's a lot of us who said right from 1999 that Bush was no conservative and was a bad choice for the GOP.

Belling is crap. I turned him off after hearing his apologist spew for criminal, illegal aliens.

Hey Rush: can't you do any better than this wimp? If you can't, play a re-run, and leave this socialist putz in Milwaukee where he belongs.

The dems made this 30 year old problem a major issue to divide the base. ...

I've got news for you, this is not a liberal/conservative issue. Anyone that has liberal friends can hear them ranting about the border (unsolicited) just as conservatives are.

I will give you that this issue is the single largest reason for the low, low poll numbers Bush is seeing.

And that is hurting the conservative agenda on other fronts. With his numbers low, he can not get much moving. The border issue is the number one issue he needs to address.

"Perhaps the President is the reason immigration's on the agenda."

I agree, his plan is awful. His alleged "immigration reform" has been an appeasement sham all along; it's just amnesty, amnesty, amnesty. He obviously thinks the American people are pretty stupid.

"I'm hoping his being on today was the result of a last-minute thing and Rush didn't have time to come up with a better substitute host."

I don't think so. He uses this guy frequently. Why, I haven't a clue. Rodger Hedgecock is much better. Maybe he is TOO good.
