Blackfive already has a good start on this and Protein Wisdom is all over it as well, but any help Freepers can give in outing this wannabe would be much appreciated.

Too many things wrong with his story and appearance for me to list on my own. Suffice it to say a good many lefties seem to be buying his story wholesale.

Aren't there embedded reporters on the ground? What have they reported?

I'm a Navy guy and was laughing at this guy's picture. Beret folded in the wrong direction, wrong roll on the sleeves, it goes on and on. This guy better hope he doesn't run into a real Ranger, or a real Ranger's mother. He will get his butt kicked.

This guy better hope he doesn't run into a real Ranger, or a real Ranger's mother. He will get his butt kicked. The good folks at ArmyRanger.com are looking at him. He is claiming more qualification badges and awards than most soldiers with far more rank. The dead giveaway is his beret. I have no idea what flash is on the beret, but it isn't the Ranger Regimental flash. Also, no Ranger would wear such a fu&%ed up looking beret.

Wow, what a tool. Beret on wrong, sleeves rolled wrong, wrong shirt, wrong language. How much did he get paid? Ranger companies only deploy for a few months at a time.

Here is an interesting spin... The above is from the Christian Science Monitor. If you look at the story that includes the references photo and other similar ones - the captions do not include this meatball's identity... BUT if you search the archives or cached pages (through Google for instance) guess what??? Same stary and pics, but with his name clearly listed in the captions.
Things that make you go... Hmmmmmm.

Way to go Navy guy. I knew something looked wrong with this schmuck. According to Army regulations, the "excess material" of the beret will be folded down over the right ear. Good job! To me, the material of his BDUs doesn't look right either. The colors or the pattern are wrong. Looks like an Army/Navy Store special of the day. A REAL PX hero.

I call BS on this. Beret is worn completely wrong, no unit insignia, overall uniform wear looks like crap. I also did a search for him on the AKO white pages, he doesn't exist (could have been in and is currently completely discharged, or what I think-was never in).

Geez.....can't wait to show this to my husband...he's going to be p*ssed.

I walked out of a pre-negotiated car deal at couple years ago at the signing because the salesman started on some long BS tale of his time in the military. Why these people think they can lie to a guy who is actually in the military is beyond me.
