Police: Three dead in Louisiana church shooting
Sunday, May 21, 2006; Posted: 1:24 p.m. EDT (17:24 GMT)
BATON ROUGE, Louisiana (AP) -- A gunman opened fire at a Baton Rouge, Louisiana, church Sunday, killing at least three people before he abducted his wife and one of his children, police said.
The suspect, Anthony Bell, 25, of Baton Rouge, fled the church after abducting his wife and the infant from the congregation, Sgt. Charles Armstong said.
Bell fled the church after abducting his wife and the infant from the building, Armstong said. The two older children were found safe at their home.
Police were called about the shooting around 10 a.m., around the time church services would normally be close to ending. At least two others were injured, authorities said.

Like many other states, Louisiana does not allow those with concealed carry permits to carry their firearm into church.
Perhaps this individual did not get the message that it's against the law to carry a gun into a church.

The church is inside a warehouse in a non-residential area of Baton Rouge.

A little speculation here. The guy is driving an Enterprise rental car. I'm wondering if he is a hurricane refugee returning to exact revenge. It sounds like he knew exactly who he wanted to shoot.

The Swat team has an apartment complex surrounded as they believe Anthony Bell is inside.

He has been captured and his wife found dead.Looks like multiple opportunities to schedule a dirt bath for this guy. Perhaps there was something going on between his wife and the pastor. He decided to to "solve" the problem.
