> our NATIONAL MOTTO
E Pluribus Unum. "In God We Trust" is 1950's PC pap.
Oops. You're right: In God We Trust was to distinguish us from the godless commies.
"In God We Trust" is on the coin. It ought not to be treated a matter of opinion by the principal. Because she does, she is obviously a fool who if she errs in small matters will err in larger ones.
Uh, "In God We Trust" has appeared on U.S. coins since 1938.
It goes back a lot farther than that. 1862 or thereabouts.
It was first put on paper currency in the 1950's though. For a different angle, Teddy Roosevelt had the motto removed for a brief period in the 00's. Felt that it was blasphemous to have such a motto on money itself, as such money could be used for sinful activities, e.g. prostitution.
That comment is consistent with your other bigoted, hateful, anti-Christian posts on FR. Its unfortunate that you are allowed a voice on a conservative forum. As an anti-Christian, you might wish to consider joining your friends at DU.
PC = "prevention of communism"
and speaking of PC, the PC version of the national motto would be:
ex unus , plures
and the national symbol, a prism ("all the diversity of the rainbow")
Cheers!
So, be honest for once. Do you agree with the actions taken by the school? A simple yes or no will do.
we could use a lot less Pluribus and a lot more Unum
