Mexico really has a sweet deal. They send us all their misfits and sue us if We don't like it. Time to sour the deal and kick the Illegal Alien Civil Liberties Union (IACLU) out of this country.

Correct me if I'm wrong but, doesn't PC only apply to the feds being used against OUR citizens?

That is my understanding.
Don't we use the National Guard for national and regional emergencies i.e. Katrina etc

Ya know, they should play this up. The more publicity the better. Have even more marches and protests and shout "Viva Mexico!" Because Washington obviously still hasn't gotten the message.

I teach ESL students in Texas and I've never encountered so much prejudiced hatred as from a huge percentage of my students, and it's all because I'm a white American woman.

I teach too. Exact same situation. Mexicans (almost no other countries represented) will NOT say the pledge to either the U.S. or Texas. Looks of disgust on their faces while it is said. I honestly believe the government does not have an idea how grave the situation is.

Violating the "spirit" of an inapplicable law is never a problem.

Sounds like they have attitudes better held in Mexico than here. I presume you speak Spanish as well and know the kind of trash they are talking all the time.

My students stand and face the flag. They know better than to try anything else.

I can't make them actually say the pledge, and they don't.

I'm sick of it.

I only speak a little Spanish, but enough that my students think I'm fluent. ;-)

My classroom rule is, absolutely: NO SPANISH.

ESL is an English class.

They HATE this rule.

:-)

Yes, of course. The most lamentable part about all of this is the American public's ignorance of the scope of the problem. They simply do not see it.

I wouldn't have seen the intense hatred had I not been in the classroom with so many of them.

Well if the ACLU can make up its own rules, perhaps we can make up some of our own. Deport the ACLU.

No one should be surprised that the commies at the ACLU are supporting a 5th column movement.

I wonder why nobody has ever capped a round into the vermin from the ACLU. What sort of anti-American pervs belong to it? Just wondering.

Aside from its core of DUmmies, socialists, wackos, anti-Americans, and outright communists, the ACLU is mostly scumbag lawyers who have discovered laws on the books that say they can be paid with our tax dollars to file suits that destroy all that is good in America.

I would not be surprised if true Americans do declare 'open season' on ACLU representatives -- and soon... But I expect illegal trespassers may be the first put on the "unprotected species" list...

Maybe no one in Washington has noticed yet, but...

America is fed up and angry!!

My students participated in an international web design contest where we placed in the final round. At that time, the other countries teams evaluated each others work and submitted comments. Our web project was based on immigration around the world. Well, as luck would have it, the Mexican team evaluated our site and we received nasty comments. A lot of "you stole our land." My students were from Cuba, Haiti, Jamaica and they were shocked. Although we had the best designed site by far, we lost first place due to their evaluation.

Their hatred and prejudism - and sense of entitlement to OUR land! - is huge.

Never have I had people hate me for no reason, especially once I've had time to be around them, but at least half of my students hate me. Hate me.

I've given them no reason to feel that way. Actually, I've done everything I could to help them.

Now I just teach and grade.

"Turning immigration enforcement policy into another military operation is not the answer..."

Immigration enforcement? No, this is now about protecting our country against foreign insurgents. It is so much more than an immigration issue. It's a trespass issue.

This just keeps getting more bizarre. Mexico is telling us what we can and cannot do within our own borders and the American Communist Lawyers Union becomes their legal arm.

Contrary to what Bush proclaims (just as he says Islam is a Religion Of Peace), Mexico is not our friend. A "friend" doesn't act like that. Mexico is a corrupt narco-state actively subverting us. It is about time we marched our army to Mexico City again and throw out their crooks and put in our crooks.
