I don't know if I am the first to post this but did anyone else notice that Tony Snow's head and neck partially blocked out the word 'WHITE' on the sign behind him that read 'THE WHITE HOUSE' so that it appeared to read 'THE W HOUSE'?

I do over an acre of "stuff to mow" with a small electric (LOTSA LONG CORDS), No self propelled. Just sore back propelled.
Most of property is "wild"
Dont ask me about the two riding mowers & the three gas powered ones that are on strike!
But I love to be outdoors. It has been raining since Thursday. It wil be interesting when the grass finally dries out & is 3' tall!

You are most observant. I think I'll pay attention when I watch the video at the whitehouse.gov site.

Those Grasshoppers are pretty nice! I've got a John Deere "Yard Tractor". The 42" deck can be detached, but I leave mine on, and also have a small wagon trailer that can be pulled from behind which is handy for carrying small loads like chopped firewood to the house, and dead plants and debris away from the house in the fall.

I remember Tony telling us that relative that died of cancer was his mom. I think he said she died in 1972.I remember that, too.

It was the Mayor of D.C. when discussing the budget at a council meeting. He stated that they needed to be niggardly with the funds.
He had to be re-educated.....aaargggggggghhhhhh and the incident only further reinforced the crazies that he wasn't black enough to be Mayor.

My 3 rolls of 100' extension cord wouldn't be able to cover 20 acres. LOL! They do come in handy trimming the grass up against the house though. :)

No, it is due to the intensity and depth of the rain storm. Here in Northern Virginia, we get intense rain storms and when they come from the south-southwest, we lose satellite signal.

Just found this from CBS.

Notebook: Tony Snow, Press Secretary
Plante: Snow Impresses On First Meeting; Let's See How Long The Love Lasts
May 16, 2006
White House Press Secretary Tony Snow makes his first official trip to the White House Press Room, May 8, 2006. (AP Photo/Ron Edmonds)
Quote
"Did Snow make news on his first outing? No. Did he parry the expected questions? Sure and did it with considerable panache."
(CBS) This reporter's notebook was written by CBS News correspondent Bill Plante.
The White House Briefing Room was standing room only, aisles jammed. With immigration policy and government snooping in the headlines, reporters were ready to test the president's new press secretary. Would he tell us anything new? Would it at least be presented differently? How would he handle himself at the lectern?
The answers: No, yes and confidently.
Tony Snow was stoked, smiling and willing to say there were some things he didn't know.
The test of any press spokesperson is his or her ability to take the guidance they've been given and present it without seeming to be reading it word-for-word. Make it sound as though it could be new. Above all, be engaged. Snow was all of that. Call it creative spinning.

It's going to be up on the whitehouse.gov.
I think they'll only have the text of the Presser.
Cspan said they would have video shortly.
Hope your find it. It was great. The Snowflalkes were all huddled around their PC, rooting Tony on.
We had some visitors who started to interrupt us but we are uninterruptible when OUR guy is the on the TV.
You're gonna love it. He took on all comers, politely smacked them back to reality, and ended on a sniffle note when someone asked him about his yellow bracelet. There was a long pause when he could not speak, and I had tears welling up in my eyes for him. He really is so thankful to be alive and cancer-free, you can just see it.
Sorry you had to miss it. Ali.

Foxy, I have always been proud to be NAVY, all the way.
I loved being back at my PC, reading all of the comments from the Snowflakes, hearing/watching my favorite guy. Snoq.
I think he did a most excellent job and I loved his comments on the way out of the room. Someone asked him how he thought of it, or something about how he liked his job. In any case, his anser was, "This is great."
We certainly can see God's hand in this wonderful man's life, and we see that he did have greater things for Tony to do, and certainly as Pres. Bush's numbers start climbing (have you notied that the President has people out supporting his speech last night - a very real change from "the usual" and I think has a lot to do with Tony's recommendation that the Presidet do this - get his guy's out there. VEEP on Rush, Gonzalez on with Shep (I hate Shep and he was so snarky with the Attorney General, I had trouble keeping the sound on - I think Tony has started bringing back the President's poll numbers already.
Oh, and DHS Chertoff is now on Neil Cavuto's show.
Yep, Tony is making a huge impact.
We always knew that Tony was a tiger, but today, the world got see the Tiger in action. I love it. I love it. I love it. (Doing a happy-feet dance, and giggling. I love it.)
Oh, it's a great day for Snowflakes.
