Hurts to say it, but he is.

He did talk about a fence, although the word WALL would have been better.

Like a broken clock, Dick is right twice a day. But not on the President's speech or his attempt to ram amnesty down our throats.

Is Dick right?

He's right 50% of the time.

Toss a coin.

Arguably America’s most prominent American political consultant, Dick Morris tells NewsMax that President Bush’s key national address on immigration reform Monday night was "a great speech.”

Uh Oh!..........this can't be good.

This means we're really screwed.

Dick Morris is a contrary indicator.

I don't know about this but he's usually right about Hillary, he can't stand her.

"Kerry only won among them by 10"

This false stat has been repeated so often that it has become 'truth.'

Morris has warned that the Republican risks losing its dominance in the near future if it doesn’t grab a larger share of Hispanic voters. Hispanics are rapidly growing in the U.S., especially in states like Florida, Texas, and other states once considered strongly GOP

Typical Hispanic voters frown on illegal immigration. Pandering to illegals would more likely lose you hispanic votes, not to mention the black vote and the votes of the base itself. Furthermore, illegals prefer democrats as they see the democrat party as the party where emotion trumps the law.

I think ordinary Joes are hungry for someone to lead rationally, to make sense. I think the President was sincere, he laid out some steps that aren't perfect, but they struck the right notes.

No, he's not right... Bill Schneider of CNN declared "Bush just lost his base" two seconds after the speech ended, so it must be true.

He's correct, except for one thing:

As Morris has written in the past: "By moving away from English-only policies and reaching out to Hispanics...."

Bush said tonight:

I believe that illegal immigrants who have roots in our country and want to stay should have to pay a meaningful penalty for breaking the law … to pay their taxes … to learn English … and to work in a job for a number of years. People who meet these conditions should be able to apply for citizenship – but approval would not be automatic, and they will have to wait in line behind those who played by the rules and followed the law.

Not to me, he's not.

Continued unlimited influx of illegals are, for the most part, Democrat votes. Sooner or later, they'll be either granted legal status, or they'll just vote illegally, like they do everything else. They're doing low paying jobs, and the vast majority of poor people vote Democratic, because they're the ones who promise to give them more "free" stuff.

Cutting off the flow of illegals, 1) cuts off the flow of Democratic votes, and 2) secures conservative and Reagan Democrat votes. I think I read a statistic that 53% of Hispanics favor the enforcement-only House bill. Everyone else favors it 3-1.

Morris is almost universally credited with piloting Bill Clinton’s stunning comeback re-election victory in 1996

And running against a near-corpse had nothing to do with it?

(sorry, Bob, but ya gotta admit- as far as charisma is concerned...)

I get nervous any time Morris agrees with a republican. Morris' main motivator is his hatred for hillary, which I can certainly understand, but I think it affects his judgement.

Pure BS, asd far as I am concerned.

And if you don't believe me, check out the Senate Bill sponsored by Hagel and Martinez. Levin is telling us that it would allow up to 200 MILLION NEW US Citizens. And thjat would not do anything about ILLEGAL ALIENS.

Check me off as a new Independent Conservative voter. My days as a republican are over.
