CNN AIRS BUSH REHEARSAL LIVE; NETWORK CALLS 'MISTAKE'
Mon May 15 2006 20:37:17 ET

CNN aired President Bush rehearsing his immigration speech from the Oval Office on Monday night!

The embarrassing images and audio [16 seconds total] captured the president starting and stopping his message, then looking at the White House media advisor for direction.

"The president is rehearsing and the network pool inadvertently went to the president as he is rehearsing," anchor Wolf Blitzer explained.

The development comes just six months after CNN mistakenly placed a bold black 'X' mark over Vice President Cheney's face as he gave a speech.

That makes Kerry look a little silly, true. But it's not the same as trying to make Bush look like he's lost at sea right before a major speech.

The TV-heads at CNN know better than most people that a visual image sticks in the mind. Bush was about to make a forceful and intelligent speech (the only thing really missing was a timetable with border security and other law enforcement first, guest worker program afterwards)--so of course they had to implant the image of Bush looking confused and weak.

They are despicable. Image-shmimage. I hate TV and TV people.
