I searched but did not see a thread already open for tonights speech. I think this is the most important speech the President will probably make for the remainder of his term.
Mod Note:
This could turn into a whack-a-troll thread. All immigration trolls that would like to participate should post here. It'll be interesting to see if we mods can whack the trolls faster than they can sign up new accounts.

http://www.isteve.com is his website/ good material there
The party that results from the split will be stronger? ROFL. Keep telling yourself that.
With posts and voting records like I assume yours will be I won't see Republicans in the majority again for the rest of my lifetime.
But hey, you have issues, so be sure to put those issues ahead of party and country and let the Democrats run things for a while. That will really solve your issues. /sarcasm
The bible has a consistent message regarding aliens. There is not "proof texting" going on. A proof text is typically an isolated verse that is taken out of context to demonstrate a point.
I demonstrated numerous texts dealing with aliens. I picked only a few of those that exist.
The bible consistently teaches compassion and mercy for aliens. It does not make our modern distinctions between legal and illegal.
Therefore, Christians are called upon to deal with BOTH legals and illegals in a compassionate and merciful manner....EVEN WHEN we must deport them. Even then it is possible to be BOTH merciful and decisive.
I have no problem with a nation having immigration and naturalization laws. We have a unique situation with our southern border in that we are a rich nation bordering a 3rd world nation. OF COURSE some of those folks from that land of poverty and exploding population are going to come up here.
They are still made in God's image, and Christians should remember that we are people of mercy and compassion.

The most important factor is the desire not to assimilate. Bilingual education, social services information in Spanish, and extensive Spanish language TV and radio networks enable Hispanics to remain monolingual. The political culture enables the desire to self-isolate whereas a century ago, the political leadership condemned hypehenated-Americanism and insisted upon an English-only public arena. Augmenting the population of Hispanics are tens of millions in Mexico and Central and South America, not far off Europe.
The proposals made by the President are insufficient to control the continued rapid increase in the Hispanic population through illegal immigration. As a result, Hispanic majorities will develop in the Southwest, just as the Albanians came to dominate the Serbian province of Kosovo.
If you are still in denial, I advise you take Interstate 95 south to the Bronx and see what will be the future for large swaths of America, including your own state of Connecticut, unless illegal immigration is stopped.
yeah that worked so well in 1986 so in another 20 years what can we expect?
Isn't that the truth! Thank God we have Free Republic!
I'm glad to see my posts are more in line with the forum owner's than yours. Delighted, in fact.
As a Conservative you must fondly look back at the Clinton years. You can look forward to higher taxes, gay marriage and a weakened defense. But hey, you'll still have your pride.

A 'Wall' ASAP.
Look, I'm not going to be a party to electing even one rat to the congress or the senate (or any local offices for that matter) nor will I be doing anything whatsoever which will help elect Hillary Clinton or any other Marxist Democrat to the presidency. Is that language plain enough for you to understand?

You contradict yourself. My point isn't that it is a majority, or anything 'sizable' but 'some' (or trivial as you put it) as I stated. It just happens those 'some' are very vocal.
"Tell a lie often enough and people might believe it."
You're a small man.
