I searched but did not see a thread already open for tonights speech. I think this is the most important speech the President will probably make for the remainder of his term.

Not B.S. My nephew was caught up in drugs and got busted, as he should have been. When he got out, the only job he could get was in salvage and demolition. He was the only person on his crew who spoke English, but he was treated and paid as poorly as the illegals, never knowing from one day to the next if his job would go to an illegal paid less than minimum wage, as it eventually did

I doubt that and think you are spreding more hysterical hyperbole, there are many halfway houses that would have set him up in a job. That's of course if he can keep it, which is the part of the story you left out.

Don't you all think that we should at least listen to the man before we judge how we, the base, feel about it. I am encouraged that he has heard us enough to ask for time in sweeps week. Let's just take a collective breath and listen -- something we do not do well as conservatives. He gave us the judges we wanted when we got irritated over Meyers, it is possible we well also get what we want here.

I've posted several times here on FR that Pete Wilson in California had to build a ton of more prison space.

Violent illegal offenders represent a full 50% increase in the prison population.
